Abstract: An online directory of people, businesses and products which is accessible by a user is described herein. Each person, business or product may be associated with a unique visual identifier such as a barcode which facilitates transactions between the parties. Moreover, the barcode may be an electronic barcode which can be displayed on a user's phone and scanned by a camera of the other party's electronic system. It is contemplated that the electronic barcode may be displayed only after entering a password on the user's mobile phone.
