  • Patent number: 12734024
Abstract: In a device that includes a vibrating mouthpiece, a source of vibratory movement is connected to a relatively large, relatively stationary mass, or anchor, so the equal and opposite vibrational momentum of the handpiece (plus large mass) results in very little vibrational amplitude of the handpiece-plus-mass, while the active mouthpiece has high vibrational amplitude. In an example, a mouthpiece which engages with a part of a dental arch, is actively cleaning, while a block on the other side of the dental arch acts to anchor the vibration source to the much larger mass of the user's jaw (and head). When the user's jaws grip the block, there will be very little vibration of the handpiece or the user's teeth-jaw-head mass and consequently, the mouthpiece will vibrate at a greater amplitude than it would without the anchor. This leads to greater efficiency of the device.

  • Patent number: 12605238
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to mechanisms for oral irrigator fluid channels which provide back flow prevention. The oral irrigator comprises: an irrigator tip; a tether having a first end and a second end, a third channel arranged between the first end and the second end, where the first end of the tether is in fluid communication with the second channel; a reservoir containing a fluid, the reservoir in fluid communication with a pump, the pump in fluid communication with the third channel and the second end of the tether; and an arrowhead check valve comprising a resilient element and an elastic head element, the arrowhead check valve arranged within the first channel, the second channel, or the third channel. The irrigator tip comprises: a nozzle comprising a first channel; and a handle comprising a second channel in fluid communication with the first channel.

  • Publication number: 20250223976
Abstract: An example MR headset includes a housing with electronic components for presenting MR content, where the housing is configured to attach to a strap thereby forming a cavity, and defines an aperture, including a first opening on a first side of the MR headset and a second opening on a second side of the MR headset. The MR headset includes a speaker within the cavity positioned for minimizing intermodulation of the speaker within the cavity. The housing includes a fan to cool the electronic components and minimize noise interference. The MR headset includes an expansion chamber surrounding the inner surface of the fluidic channel that causes bias flow across the perforations. The MR headset includes microphones distributed along an outer surface of the housing for detecting audio content from a user, and each respective microphone is separated from the first and second opening by at least an audial-interference threshold distance.
