  • Patent number: 11865234
Abstract: A treatment apparatus for a vehicle comprises: a housing with at least one wall and a floor forming a treatment chamber; a source of ultraviolet light configured to emit ultraviolet light into the treatment chamber; and a door connected to the housing, the door having (i) an open position providing access to the treatment chamber and (ii) a closed position denying access to the treatment chamber and, together with the housing, preventing emitted ultraviolet light from irradiating beyond the treatment chamber.

  • Publication number: 20230414820
Abstract: A sanitization apparatus of a vehicle includes (i) surfaces defining a chamber configured to accept an object to be sterilized with ultraviolet light and (ii) a first light emitting diode (LED) including a die that is configured to emit ultraviolet light. The die has a primary surface that defines a plane that extends through the chamber. The sanitization apparatus further includes a first reflective surface that is reflective of ultraviolet light disposed adjacent to the first LED. At least a portion of the ultraviolet light that the die emits reflects off of the first reflective surface and into the chamber. The first reflective surface defines a plane that intersects with the plane that the primary surface of the die defines.

  • Publication number: 20230373269
Abstract: A vehicle air monitoring system includes a housing defining an interior and an inlet. An airflow assembly is disposed within the interior and includes a pump configured to draw an air sample into an airflow passage via the inlet. A detection assembly is in fluid communication with the airflow passage of the airflow assembly. The detection assembly includes a light source configured to illuminate a biochip and a photodetector configured to detect an optical transmission of the biochip based on a photocurrent of the photodetector. A control assembly is in communication with the airflow assembly and the detection assembly. The control assembly is configured to activate the pump to draw the air sample into the airflow passage, compare the photocurrent by the photodetector with a predefined baseline photocurrent to determine a change in the optical transmission of the biochip, and communicate particle data to a remote device.

  • Publication number: 20230111974
Abstract: This disclosure describes systems and methods using blockchain for in-vehicle health and wellness tracking. An example method may include receiving a request for a vehicle from a mobile device of a user. The example method may also include receiving, from a pathogen detector device within a first vehicle, an indication that a number of pathogens within the first vehicle is less than a threshold amount. The example method may also include assigning the first vehicle to the user based on the indication that the number of pathogens within the first vehicle is less than a threshold amount.
