    Abstract: A method includes: obtaining, from a sensor disposed on a transporter, a set of beacon identifiers and proximity indicators, the beacon identifiers emitted by respective beacons mounted proximate to a boundary separating an exterior of a container from an interior of the container; determining whether the set of beacon identifiers and proximity indicators indicates a transition of the transporter across the boundary; when the determination is affirmative, detecting, based on the set of beacon identifiers and proximity indicators, a direction of travel of the transporter relative to the boundary; and generating a transition event including an identifier of the transporter, an identifier of the container, and the direction of travel.

    Abstract: Provided in one embodiment is an improved and more flexible process for preparing a finished base oil or a white oil product comprising passing a dewaxed base oil product to a distillation column and separating the dewaxed base oil product into fuel and base oil product streams. Base oil product streams that meet the desired minimum base oil specifications are passed to a hydrofinishing reactor to prepare a white oil product, or passed to direct sale.

    Abstract: A process for preparing a base oil from a waxy hydrocarbon feedstock is provided. The process comprises passing the hydrocarbon feedstock to a distillation column prior to dewaxing in order to recover a heavy wax cut. The heavy wax is then hydrocracked to lower boiling compounds which can be better isomerized to a base oil with an acceptable cloud point. The base oil yield is also increased.

    Abstract: Provided is a process for preparing base oil from a waxy hydrocarbon feedstock by contacting the hydrocarbon feedstock in a hydroisomerization zone under hydroisomerization conditions. The reaction is in the presence of hydrogen and an inert gas, with the total pressure in the hydroisomerization zone being at least 400 psig. A product from the hydroisomerization zone is collected and separated into base oil products and fuel products. The inert gas can comprise any suitable inert gas, but is generally nitrogen, methane or argon. Nitrogen is used in one embodiment.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure relate to a method for fabricating semiconductor-on-insulator (SemOI) electronic components. In the method, a device wafer is bonded to a handling wafer. The device wafer includes a semiconductor device layer and a buried oxide layer. A substrate is adhered to the handling wafer. The substrate is a glass or a ceramic, and bonding occurs at an interface between the semiconductor device layer and the substrate. Material is removed from the device wafer to expose the buried oxide layer. The substrate is debonded from the handling wafer so as to provide an SemOI electronic component including the substrate, the semiconductor device layer, and the buried oxide layer.
