Patent number: 11937556Abstract: Drip irrigation emitters having low activation pressures, desirable flow rates, and are configured to clog less than existing emitters are provided. The disclosed emitters include membrane cavities that are devoid of a channel and a land to help advance fluid through the cavity, to an outlet, and to an outside environment. Instead, the membrane cavities have various shapes and configurations that, in conjunction with a depressed membrane, help to drive fluid out of the membrane cavity and to an outside environment. The shapes of the membrane cavities include a sinusoidal configuration, a cylindrical shape configuration, and a flat bottom configuration. Various features of such emitters, and methods of using the same, are also provided.Type: GrantFiled: August 13, 2021Date of Patent: March 26, 2024Assignee: Massachusetts Institute of TechnologyInventors: Julia Sokol, Jaya Narain, Amos Greene Winter, V, Jeffrey Costello, Dheekshita Kumar, Tristan J. METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DETERMINING DRIVABLE ROAD REGIONS FOR SAFE NAVIGATION OF AN AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE
Publication number: 20200264620Abstract: The present disclosure discloses method and a road region determination system for determining drivable road regions for safe navigation of an autonomous vehicle. The road region determination system receives real-time images of road in which autonomous vehicle is travelling, from image sensors. Each of real-time images of road is segmented into polygon regions and trend lines to obtain plurality of features using pre-trained road segmentation model. An orientation of the road is identified in real-time images as one of linear orientation and non-linear orientation based on slope measured between successive intermediate points distributed evenly on trend lines. The road region determination system manages redistribution of intermediate points on trend lines based on orientation of the road. Thereafter, paired points from intermediate points redistributed on the trend lines is identified, where paired points are connected using a horizontal line to determine drivable road regions for autonomous vehicle.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 30, 2019Publication date: August 20, 2020Inventors: Sendil Kumar Jaya Kumar, Amrit Paul, Mohd Zaid, Chakshu Malhotra, Raghottam Narayan Mannopantar -

Patent number: 10331978Abstract: The present disclosure is related in general to image processing and a method and system for generating a multi-level classifier for image processing. An image processing system may analyze an input image of a predetermined image type to extract unique key feature descriptors associated with the input image. Further, the unique key feature descriptors are resized into a predefined standard template format which is utilized to develop an image type classifier. Furthermore, the unique key feature descriptors are resized into each of one or more template classifiers of the predetermined image type. Further, signal quality value of each of the template classifiers is determined by validating each of the unique key feature descriptors resized based on each of the template classifiers and an image prediction classifier is developed based on the signal quality value.Type: GrantFiled: March 15, 2017Date of Patent: June 25, 2019Assignee: Wipro LimitedInventors: Sendil Kumar Jaya Kumar, Sujatha Jagannath

Patent number: 10210345Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to a system, method, or computer program product for generating communicable linkages that collectively provide a cloud-based dynamic credential selection and implementation system. The system generates a user profile containing user preferences, historic trends, and user resources based on information collected from a user and user associated accounts. The dynamic credential selection and implementation system is triggered by the user signaling the system of a proposed transaction. The system requests updated resource characteristics from resource managers. The user profile, resource characteristics and transaction characteristics are evaluated and ranked by the dynamic credential selection and implementation system before completion of the transaction, which in some embodiments requires user approval of the selected resource.Type: GrantFiled: August 4, 2016Date of Patent: February 19, 2019Assignee: Bank of America CorporationInventors: Rick A.
