    Abstract: A method and system for automatically updating the revision level of programmable devices is disclosed. In one aspect, the system may comprise a master programmable device having pulse receiving logic and memory, and one or more slave programmable devices having pulse generating logic. The slave devices may be coupled to the master device through an interface and configured to automatically send revision information to the master device responsive to the revision information being generated in a slave device.
