  • Publication number: 20170304578
Abstract: A medical tube transports gases to and/or from a patient. The medical tube has an elongate film spirally wrapped with an elongate reinforcing member, which bond to form a lumen. The elongate film has a profile such that the elongate film does not protrude into the lumen of the medical tube upon bending of the medical tube. The elongate reinforcing member can have a D-shaped cross section that can contribute to beneficial characteristics of the medical tube. The elongate reinforcing member can also have a circular cross section.
