  • Publication number: 20060183105
Abstract: A novel human brain-derived potassium channel polypeptide is described which is developmentally regulated and tissue-specific to differentiated neurons. A full length cDNA which encodes the novel potassium channel polypeptide is disclosed as well as the interior structural region and the amino acid residue sequence of the human brain potassium channel biomolecule. Methods are provided to identify compounds that modulate the biological activity of the potassium channel biomolecule and hence regulate neurophysiology.
    Type: Application
    Filed: February 28, 2006
    Publication date: August 17, 2006
Inventors: Jayashree Aiyar, Claudia Iannotti, Edward Christian, Naomi Logsdon
  • Publication number: 20040038890
Abstract: A novel human voltage-gated potassium channel subunit is provided. A full length cDNA which encodes the novel potassium channel polypeptide is disclosed as well as the interior structural region and the amino acid residue sequence of the voltage-gated potassium channel biomolecule. Methods are provided to identify compounds that modulate the pharmacological activity of the potassium channel subunit and hence regulate potassium channel biological activity.
