    Abstract: A system according to the principles of the present disclosure includes a crimp tool angle sensor, a flange section module, and a diagnostic module. The crimp tool angle sensor measures at least one of a roll angle of a crimp tool, a pitch angle of the crimp tool, and a yaw angle of the crimp tool. The flange section module identifies a flange section of a vehicle on which the crimp tool is disposed based on at least one of the roll angle, the pitch angle, and the yaw angle. The diagnostic module determines whether at least one of the roll angle, the pitch angle, and the yaw angle is within a predetermined range.
