Publication number: 20250322074Abstract: A memory recovery procedure is disclosed for non-volatile memory such as magneto-resistive random access memory for a system on chip. The non-volatile memory stores operating system related code or data. A corruption detection module determines whether the non-volatile memory has been corrupted. A hard coded memory including a recovery routine is operable to access a recovery image stored on an alternate storage system and load the recovery image to the non-volatile memory.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 15, 2025Publication date: October 16, 2025Inventors: Jayesh Shah, Dan Cermak, Ken Alton

Publication number: 20250113996Abstract: A method implemented in an ophthalmic laser system to perform iris registration based on two iris images taken with the patient at upright and supine positions, respectively. For each iris image, the iris region is transformed into a rectangular rubbersheet, with the radial and angular coordinates of the iris image respectively mapped to vertical and horizontal coordinates of the rubbersheet. A horizontal one-dimensional log-Gabor transform is applied to the rubbersheet line-by-line. The transformed rubbersheet is binarized line-by-line. The two binary rubbersheets are compared at a series of relative horizontal shifts to determine the horizontal shift value that produces the lowest Hamming distance between the two binary rubbersheets, and the cyclotorsion rotation of the eye between the upright and supine positions is calculated accordingly.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 7, 2024Publication date: April 10, 2025Inventors: Javier Gonzalez, Michael Campos, Jayesh Shah, Harvey Liu

Patent number: 10689184Abstract: A wrist mounted toy is described wherein a pressurized canister containing a string foam compound, or other pressurizable liquid with mid to low viscosity, is attached to a vessel containing a check valve. A geared-trigger mechanism allows for the user to expel the fluid at a pressure and rate dependent on the pressure he or she places on the lever. Additionally, the actions of removing and replacing the air and fluid canisters provide the user with a more interactive experience compared to a simple load and shoot toy. Many variations can be adapted to the toy to allow for a wide range of uses. The toy allows the user to enjoy a device which resembles the Marvel character's shooter more closely and discharge the fluid to quite a distance.Type: GrantFiled: September 27, 2015Date of Patent: June 23, 2020Inventor: Jayesh Shah

Patent number: 10292864Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention encompass systems and methods for generating a vision treatment target for an eye of a patient. Exemplary techniques can involve obtaining a wavefront measurement for the eye of the patient, processing the wavefront measurement, using a low pass filter, to obtain an ocular wavefront, and generating the vision treatment target based on the ocular wavefront. In some cases, the wavefront is processed by applying a Fourier transform to the wavefront measurement to obtain a Fourier spectrum of the wavefront, convolving, in the Fourier domain, the Fourier spectrum of the wavefront and the low pass filter to obtain a Fourier spectrum convolution result, and applying an inverse transform to the convolution result to obtain the ocular wavefront. The ocular wavefront can represent a low pass filtered version of the wavefront measurement, such that high spatial frequency features present in the wavefront measurement are not present in the ocular wavefront.Type: GrantFiled: February 7, 2017Date of Patent: May 21, 2019Assignee: AMO Development, LLCInventors: Anatoly Fabrikant, Dimitri Chernyak, Guang-ming Dai, Jayesh Shah

Publication number: 20180001036Abstract: A clip is described for the purposes of aiding researchers with tail vessel injections in laboratory mice. The clip, consisting of a tourniquet with an attached ring and platform, allows the researchers to place the tourniquet over the tail of the mouse, either by hand or using a placement tool, and subsequently insert the specified needle through the ring, where it traverses at the appropriate angle to successfully puncture and enter the vessel lumen. The disposable nature of the clip allows researchers to maintain financial goals and decrease sterility issues. Additional features could be added to the clip for either practical or personal reasons. The clip is where cost-effectiveness and efficacy combine to provide the user with a satisfactory aid in the field of vessel injection systems.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 29, 2016Publication date: January 4, 2018Inventor: Jayesh Shah
