    Abstract: Provided are adhesive articles and related methods that use a foam layer including an acrylic polymer or silicone polymer and having a pair of opposing major surfaces. An adhesive surface is disposed on each of the opposing major surfaces and a plurality of channels extend across at least one adhesive surface. The adhesive surface defining the channels contains a pressure-sensitive adhesive having a rheology enabling the plurality of channels to essentially disappear over time when the adhesive article is compressed. Advantageously, the provided articles and methods enable high immediate bond and handling strength, a high degree of wet out, weatherability, and superior aesthetics when used with transparent or translucent substrates.

The first portion and the second portion are adjacent to or overlapping with each other and the first irradiation dosage and the second irradiation dosage are not the same.     Abstract: A method of making a nanostructure and nanostructured articles by depositing a layer to a major surface of a substrate by plasma chemical vapor deposition from a gaseous mixture while substantially simultaneously etching the surface with a reactive species.     Abstract: Methods for producing an at least partially cured layer by applying a layer including a (meth)acrylate-functional siloxane to a surface of a substrate, and irradiating the layer in a substantially inert atmosphere with a short wavelength polychromatic ultraviolet light source having a peak intensity at a wavelength of from about 160 nanometers to about 240 nanometers to at least partially cure the layer. Optionally, the layer is at a curing temperature greater than 25° C. In some embodiments, the layer has a thickness of about 0.1 micrometers to about 1 micrometer. In certain embodiments, the layer is substantially free of a photoinitiator and/or an organic solvent. In some particular embodiments, irradiating the layer with a short wavelength polychromatic ultraviolet light source takes place in an inert atmosphere including no greater than 50 ppm oxygen. The substantially cured layer may be a release layer or a low adhesion backsize (LAB).
