  • Patent number: 12253479
Abstract: A space-based x-ray imaging system comprising a spacecraft frame, a shutter apparatus, and a detector. The frame comprises: radiation shielding for shielding an inner cavity from solar radiation; and an input window opening on a section of the radiation shielding to enable passage of the solar radiation into the inner cavity. The shutter apparatus is near the input window and configured to be selectively opened and closed, to selectively enable and prevent passage of the solar radiation into the inner cavity via the input window. The detector is in the inner cavity and aligned with the input window, such that the detector is impinged by the solar radiation passing through the input window, such that an x-ray flux from the solar radiation is usable for x-ray imaging of a target located between the detector and the input window.

  • Patent number: 11330969
Abstract: An optical endoluminal far-field microscopic imaging catheter comprises a light generating system, a first light delivery conduit for propagating light generated by the light generating system and a light distributor configured to redirect light propagated by the delivery conduit into a direction of an object to be imaged. A discriminator is configured for capturing light reflected from the object incident on a window of the discriminator from a particular direction and transmitting only the light captured from the particular direction to a second light delivery conduit. A drive mechanism is configured to sweep the window through a plurality of directions in a predictable pattern for matching each light capture event in the window with a direction of the window during the event. An analyzer matches the direction of the window with an associated light capture event and generate a visible image based on a mosaic of the captured light.

  • Patent number: 10300246
Abstract: A method and system for placing a device enabled for endovascular navigation, specifically a PICC catheter, and more broadly any device which is manipulated in over the wire or monorail fashion. Variants of the system comprise a guidewire for navigating through a patient's vasculature, having an electromagnetic (EM) based tracking components at or near the a leading end of the guidewire; an EM positioning field generator configured on a reference gantry; a computer and display configured to output position information of the guidewire leading end; and a servomotor delivery system actuator, mechanically coupled to the guidewire and configured for controlling the position of the guidewire.
