If a request to purchase a pay service is received, a signal received from a remote control device within a preset reference time period is sensed before purchasing the pay service in order to determine whether the purchase is normal or abnormal, and a purchase questioning message according to the determined results is transmitted to a pre-registered contact number or an address of a user and a time display unit mounted on the broadcast receiving device.

Abstract: A broadcast processing apparatus and method thereof, the broadcast processing apparatus including: a decryptor to decrypt a broadcast encrypted by a cable card using a decryption key; and a controller to control the broadcast decrypted by the decryptor to be re-encrypted and stored. Therefore, it is possible to preserve the security of broadcast content and it is easier to manage the security of broadcast content, without generating a separate encryption key.

Abstract: A broadcast receiving apparatus for offering a multi-stream and method for offering the multi-stream are provided for a variety of services through multi-stream without adding tuners. The broadcast receiving apparatus may include a plurality of tuners for receiving a plurality of AV streams via in-band channels of a certain network. A modem, which is connected to the network, receives a datagram including AV streams. An AV stream separator separates and outputs the AV streams from the datagram received through the modem. A MUX generates a multi-stream by combining the plurality of AV streams received through the plurality of tuners and the AV streams separated from the datagram.

Abstract: A set-top-box (STB) apparatus and a method of providing Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) service information. The STB apparatus and the method allow a user to quickly and intuitively identify caller information carried in an incoming call signal, regardless of whether a TV is turned on or not, by outputting the caller information detected from the call signal to the TV and internal display unit simultaneously. The STB apparatus includes a VoIP service application that connects to an external network to provide a voice communication service and detects caller information from a call signal received via the external network, and a central processing unit that receives the detected caller information and outputs the same to an external video device and an internal display unit simultaneously.
