    Abstract: A method and apparatus for detecting by a digitizer an application of an electronic pen on or within a predetermined distance from a screen of an electronic device, and includes compensating coordinates of an electronic pen relative to screen. At least one magnetic field is detected that is produced by the electronic pen and that has a different central axis each other The digitizer determines whether the electronic pen is inclined based on a number of detected magnetic fields. A determination is made whether to apply a compensation value for compensating coordinates of the electronic pen based on determining inclination of the electronic pen. The present invention advantageously permits exact recognition of coordinates of the electronic pen whether then pen is inclined or not by performing the coordinate compensation taking into account the inclination of the electronic pen and the inclined direction.

    Abstract: Disclosed are a device and a method for detecting a reversed insertion of the SIM card into a SIM card socket unit in the terminal. The device includes a SIM card socket unit including a detection terminal that is disposed at a position to be contacted with a GND terminal of the SIM card, and when the SIM card is inserted, and outputs a voltage received from a contacted terminal of the SIM card. The SIM card socket unit having received the voltage from the detection terminal is transmitted to a controller as a SIM card insertion direction detection signal. When the SIM card insertion direction detection signal received from the SIM card socket unit is a reversed insertion detection signal, the controller is configured to inform the user that the SIM card is inserted in a reversed direction.

    Abstract: A charging apparatus and method for a mobile terminal are provided. The apparatus and method charge a battery by identifying a charger and operating in an operation mode corresponding to the identified charger. If the mobile terminal is connected to a charger via an outer connector in order to charge the internal power source of the mobile terminal, power and a configuration signal are input from the charger, a logic characteristic is output by using the received configuration signal, and thus the charger can be exactly identified according to the power and the configuration signal. Also, since the internal power source of the mobile terminal is charged through the exactly identified charger, the internal circuit of the mobile terminal or battery can be prevented from being damaged by unstable power of the charger.
