The display device includes a buffer configured to generate a applied voltage corresponding to a driving control signal; a liquid crystal display (LCD) panel configured to change a liquid crystal transmittance thereof in accordance with the applied voltage; a switcher configured to selectively provide an intermediate voltage of a predetermined level, which makes the LCD panel transmit no light, to the LCD panel; and a driving controller configured to control the switcher to block power from being supplied to the buffer and to provide the intermediate voltage to the LCD panel in response to a predetermined event occurring.

    Abstract: A display apparatus includes a power supply for providing power, a circuit board including an integrated circuit (IC) with a central processing unit (CPU) that processes an image signal; and a display configured to display an image corresponding to the image signal; the IC includes a power controller configured to monitor a voltage level of a core voltage provided by the power supply to the IC and adjust a phase margin of a voltage corresponding to a voltage detected by the monitoring. Thus, a phase margin may be adjusted in accordance with a voltage of an IC, thereby compensating for voltage fluctuation due to instantaneously varying ripples and thus stably driving a system.
