  • Patent number: 11110927
Abstract: A system variably controls braking energy regeneration in a vehicle by reflecting a compensation torque depending on a difference in deceleration based on a road gradient when the vehicle travels over a downhill section or an uphill section of a road. The system includes a longitudinal sensor to receive the road gradient and compare the road gradient to a specific grade, and then compensate for the road gradient using a grade resistance value and a deceleration based value depending on a difference between deceleration manually set by a driver using a paddle shift and an actual vehicle deceleration. The system may include a controller to output a coasting torque as a correction torque that is a sum of the grade resistance value and the deceleration based value.

  • Patent number: 10808837
Abstract: A vehicle in which a shift lever of a Shift-by-Wire (SBW) type is used, the vehicle may include an inputter configured to receive pressing force of an acceleration pedal of the vehicle, a shift command to a P-stage of the shift lever, and gradient information related to a road on which the vehicle drives; a controller configured to: when the pressing force of the acceleration pedal of the vehicle is generated and the shift command to the P-stage is input to the controller, determine a gradient load torque and an acceleration torque of the vehicle, and limit a driver's requested torque based on the determined gradient load torque and the determined acceleration torque; and a driving device connected to the controller and configured to shift the shift lever to the P-stage when the driver's requested torque is limited.

  • Patent number: 10328821
Abstract: A system and a method for controlling a torque of an electric vehicle are provided. The system includes a driving information detecting unit that detects a speed of the electric vehicle and a position of an accelerator pedal and a controller that applies an offset torque input from a driver to a basic creep torque line set for creep driving of the electric vehicle to set an offset torque line varied from the basic creep torque line in a negative (?) torque direction. Additionally, the controller calculates a basic creep torque depending on the speed of the electric vehicle based on the basic creep torque line when the offset torque is not input and calculates a driver creep torque depending on the speed of the electric vehicle based on the offset torque line when the offset torque is input.

  • Publication number: 20190176827
Abstract: A system for variably controlling braking energy regeneration by reflecting a compensation torque depending on a difference in deceleration if the difference in deceleration depending on a road gradient occurs due to an entry of a vehicle into a downhill road or an uphill road while the vehicle is coasting on a flatland at a defined deceleration depending on the regeneration step manually set by a driver using a paddle shift, the system may include an operation condition determiner, a grade resistance based FF controller, a deceleration based FB controller, and a coasting torque reflector.

  • Publication number: 20150323928
Abstract: A system and method for diagnosing a failure of a smart sensor or a smart actuator of a vehicle are provided to diagnose the failure of the smart sensor or the smart actuator based on a detection result of a plurality of controllers connected as a network performing a plurality of logic detections. The method includes collecting, by a main controller, failure information detected by each of the controllers of the vehicle and determining a failure by integrating the failure information of each controller. In addition, the main controller is configured to request a failure confirmation from each controller when the failure occurs and diagnosing a failure of the smart sensor or the smart actuator when the failure confirmation is received.

  • Publication number: 20150100953
Abstract: An electronic control device for a vehicle and a method of controlling the vehicle are provided. The electronic control device includes a communication unit that is connected to an electronic control device of a second vehicle and transmits data thereto. A memory stores a first program that controls a first vehicle and a controller executes predetermined processes. The predetermined processes include receiving version data of a second program that controls the second vehicle via the communication unit and comparing a version of the second program with a version of the first program. The first program is transmitted to the electronic control device of the second vehicle via the communication unit to operate the second vehicle using the first program when the version of the first program is newer than that of the second program.
