  • Publication number: 20240133141
Abstract: A plowing system is removably mountable onto a vehicle in order to provide the vehicle with lateral plowing capability along a given lateral range of the vehicle. The plowing system includes a mounting assembly, a plowing assembly and corresponding plowing component. The plowing system also has associated first and second actuating assemblies cooperable with one another so as to selectively operate the plowing component between retracted and deployed configurations, and so as to provide the plowing system and associated plowing assembly and corresponding plowing component with an increased plowing resistivity within the lateral range of the vehicle, due to a combined effect of the first and second actuating assemblies. A corresponding vehicle is provided with such a plowing system.

  • Publication number: 20070264024
Abstract: A system for the bidirectional application of a dispersion compensating module in a regional system includes a dispersion compensating module configured to receive a first optical signal traveling along a first path and a second optical signal traveling along a second path, wherein the dispersion compensating module provides dispersion compensation to the first optical signal and the second optical signal. The system also includes a first circulator in optical communication with the dispersion compensating module and the first path, wherein the first circulator delivers the first optical signal to the dispersion compensating module. The system further includes a second circulator in optical communication with the dispersion compensating module and the second path, wherein the second circulator delivers the second optical signal to the dispersion compensating module.

  • Patent number: 7235402
Abstract: A bioreactor culture system and process for producing conifer somatic embryos comprise a closed vessel, a biomass immobilization matrix, a liquid culture medium recirculating equipment, and a gas control equipment. The biomass immobilization matrix is installed in a closed vessel, a liquid culture medium is introduced in the closed vessel, and the level of liquid culture medium in the closed vessel is kept lower than the biomass immobilization matrix. The liquid culture medium recirculating equipment sprays liquid culture medium from the closed vessel onto the biomass immobilization matrix to thereby irrigate the maturing immobilized biomass.

  • Patent number: 6069009
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for increasing the growth rate and concentration of in vitro cultivated plant cells by re-induction and stimulation of the growth of plant cells. The method comprises the steps of: a) growing plant cell cultures in a nutrient medium under growth conditions suitable for initiation of growth; and b) supplementing cell culture with additional macronutrients between initial growing stage and before culture death in an amount sufficient to re-induce growth without being toxic to the culture. The growth is re-induced, stimulated, maintained and increased to obtain increased plant cell concentration in culture.

  • Patent number: 4998550
Abstract: A dishwashing machine having a box-like closed main frame with a front vertical opening and a door for closing the front opening. A hinge pivotally interconnects the bottom edge section of the door to the bottom front edge section of the main frame. A latch releasably lockingly anchors the top edge section of the door to the top front edge section of the main frame. The machine is characterized by the way the door joins with the main frame of the dishwasher when the door is closed: the side and top edge sections of the door inner face have two spaced outturned projections forming a continuous U-shape cavity, and the front and side edge sections of the top and side walls of the dishwasher main frame define an inturned U-shape cavity. The U-shape cavities engage each other when the door is closed, to prevent water escape but to allow air circulation through the joint.

  • Patent number: 4951693
Abstract: In a conventional dishwashing machine having a front door biased to closed position by a pair of tension springs connected to rearwardly-extending arms of the door hinges, the addition of a pair of spring-loaded pushers acting on said arms through a restricted stroke and with a door-opening force overcoming the door-closing force of said tension springs. A solenoid-operated latch releasably locks the door in closed position. Said latch is operated by the timer controlled switching assembly of the machine, so as to release the door at the end of the rinsing cycle. Thus, the drying cycle is effected solely through free circulation of ambient air within the washing compartment through the partially-open door opening.

  • Patent number: 3960328
Abstract: A rotary sprayer of the type used in a dishwashing machine and having outlet apertures adapted to spray jets of cleaning liquid against the dishes. The present rotary sprayer includes outlet apertures formed by slots extending into bulges of one face thereof and is characterized by these slots and bulges being staggered and in disalignment to obtain more even pressures at the latter and by these slots extending parallel on each side of the rotation axis of the sprayer to prevent neutralizing interactions of the issuing sprays one on another.
