  • Publication number: 20220231762
Abstract: In brief, the invention relates to a switching method (10) for switching a smart lighting device (100), the switching method (10) comprising a step of selecting an operating mode (130) of the lighting device (100) in such a way as to control the emission of a light signal (115) and/or a communication signal (125). Thus, advantageously, the light source (110) of the lighting device (100) thus controlled by the switching method (10) can emit the light signal (115) without emitting a communication signal (125), or the secondary source (120) can, alternatively or simultaneously to the operation of the light source (110), emit the communication signal (125). The switching method (10) thus offers a greater degree of modularity in the control of the lighting device (100). The invention also relates to a lighting device (100) controlled by such a switching method (10).

  • Publication number: 20220224411
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for decoding (10) a modulated light signal (35) carrying a digital data set, the decoding method (10) comprising a step of searching (12, 13, 14, 15) for at least two frequencies of oscillation of a digital transcription of the light signal detected by a photodetector (23), each frequency of oscillation being representative of a logic value of the bits constituting the digital data carried by the light signal. Advantageously, a most significant bit is represented by a first frequency of oscillation and a least significant bit is represented by a second frequency of oscillation, the first frequency of oscillation being chosen so as to form, at the photodetector (23), a digital signal that is larger than that formed by the second frequency of oscillation by at least 4 elementary detection units of said photodetector (23). The invention also relates to an optoelectronic system (20) that implements a decoding method (10) of this kind.

  • Publication number: 20220216917
Abstract: The invention relates to a light communication method (10) implemented by a light communication emitter system (61), in which a reference sequence (320) is shrewdly inserted periodically and repeatedly into a digital data frame to be transmitted by way of a modulated light beam (615). The presence of this reference sequence (320) allows a light communication receiver system (62) to automatically detect the reference sequence (320) in the detected modulated light beam (615). This detection makes it possible to automatically detect one of the two oscillating frequencies used to represent a logic state of the transmitted digital data, without having to calibrate the receiver system (62) on the basis of said oscillating frequencies.

  • Publication number: 20210122447
Abstract: The invention relates to a diving mask (10) comprising a telecommunication system (190) configured to allow the establishment of a one-way or two-way light communication and, more specifically, using a Li-Fi-type communication protocol. For this purpose, the telecommunication system (190) comprises a light communication module (150) comprising a light source (151) configured to emit light signals in a plurality of directions around the diving mask (10), and an electronic control card (156) in order to control the light source (151) and modulate the amplitude of the light signal according to an electronic signal encoded by said electronic control card (156). The invention also relates to an underwater communication method (200).

  • Publication number: 20210009247
Abstract: The invention relates to a diving mask (10) comprising a telecommunication system (190) configured to allow the establishment of one-way or two-way light communication, specifically according to a communication protocol of the Li-fi type. For this purpose, the telecommunication system (190) comprises a light communication module (150) comprising at least one light source (151) and an electronic control board (156) for controlling said at least one light source (151) so as to emit a light signal of which the amplitude is modulated as a function of an electronic signal encoded by said electronic control board (156). The invention also relates to an underwater light communication method (200).
