  • Publication number: 20240076248
Abstract: A method for synthesis and purification of radiolabeled macroaggregated human serum albumin (MAA) to form a bulk solution injectable to a patient includes: providing a radiometal in a generator, the radiometal being a generator eluate; synthesizing the radiolabeled MAA in a reactor with MAA particles from a commercially available labeling kit for 99mTc and the generator eluate so as to provide synthesized radiolabeled MAA particles; passing the synthesized radiolabeled MAA particles on a syringe filter membrane having a membrane composition, diameter, and pore size for trapping the radiolabeled MAA particles as trapped radiolabeled MAA particles and not retaining impurities from a bulk solution, the impurities including free radioactive metal isotopes, parent radioactive metal breakthrough, and stannous chloride present in the MAA labeling kit for 99mTc; and untrapping the trapped radiolabeled MAA particles from the syringe filter using a saline or buffered solution passing through the syringe filter.

  • Publication number: 20230189763
Abstract: An animal management system for monitoring a plurality of animals over time includes a data management subsystem and a data acquisition subsystem, which includes RF asset tags. The data acquisition acquires data concerning the animals and efficiently provides it to aspects of the system for processing. The data may also include information from an environment data acquisition subsystem. The data management subsystem determines current wellness scores for each animal of a group of animals and a period wellness score for each animal over a larger period of time. Alerts may be sent went data shows an animal outside of threshold values. Other embodiments are presented.

  • Publication number: 20220232805
Abstract: Systems and methods for tracking certain activities of a plurality of animals in a feedlot involve a plurality of RF asset tags attached to the plurality of animals and a plurality of RF detector stations that are operable to read unique identifier codes associated with each of the plurality of RF asset tags. Members of the plurality of RF detector stations are positioned, at least for some, proximate to at least one water trough and at least one feed trough, and are operable to transmit data concerning the RF asset tags detected over a communication link to an asset management subsystem. Duplicate signals may be reduced, signal filtered and smoothed, and energy conserved with certain approaches taken with the RF detector stations. Other systems and devices are presented.

  • Publication number: 20070245901
Abstract: A device for the production of beverages by infusing a substance that is to be infused and which is contained in disposable packaging, includes: an infusion chamber having a configuration which can vary between an open position and a closed position for the infusion; elements for guiding the packaging from an introduction area (7) towards the infusion chamber, the guiding elements including a slide (6) which can cooperate with the periphery of the packaging, characterized by the fact that the inventive device includes elements (9) for detecting an identification marking on the packaging, the detection elements (9) being formed in the slide (6). The device is applicable to coffee machines using packaging provided with marking for identification purposes.

  • Patent number: 5275717
Abstract: Process for the manufacture of dental or maxillo-facial prostheses, particularly endo-osseous prostheses or pivots, in which a layer of pure aluminum is deposited on a conductive substrate, preferably a metal, which forms the core of the prosthesis. The aluminum layer is obtained by electrochemical deposition of pure aluminum with non-aqueous electrolyte base of the type which has an aluminumorganic complex bath. The layer is then oxidized by anodization such that an alumina layer which is sealed and electrically insulated, is obtained, separating the core and the biological tissues surrounding the prosthesis.

  • Patent number: 4947773
Abstract: The upper end portion (44) of a needle (10) is received within a blind socket (38) which extends axially upwardly into a lower end portion of a needle bar (12). A set screw (42) is received within a set screw opening (40) which intersects the socket (38). The set screw (42) is tightened to secure the needle (10) to the needle bar (12). The lower end portion of needle bar (12) includes an inclined side surface (24). Side surface (24) truncates the lower end portion of the needle bar (12). A circumferential groove (34) is provided on the remaining part of the lower end portion of needle bar (12), closely adjacent a lower end surface (30). A chamfer (32) is provided at the periphery of the end surface (30). Chamfer (32) functions to cam a snap ring (36) onto the lower end portion of needle bar (12) and into the groove (34). The inclined side surface (24) and a confronting portion of ring (26) defines a thread guide eye (46).
