  • Patent number: 10767435
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure include a system for installing a slip hanger assembly in a wellbore with a slip bowl comprising an aperture extending from an outer diameter of the slip bowl. The system also includes a slip coupled to the slip bowl, the slip comprising teeth on an inner face and a slot for receiving a shear pin extending through the aperture. The system further includes a running tool coupled to the slip bowl. The system includes a housing coupled to the running tool, the housing including a cylinder for receiving a reciprocating piston, the piston being movable between a first position and a second position, wherein the slip is in stored position while the piston is in the first position and an engaged position when the piston is in the second position.

  • Patent number: 8622121
Abstract: A reinforced wellhead member for use during fracing operations. The wellhead member is preloaded at a flange section by creating compressive stresses via a ring that interacts with a tightening nut on a bolt. The bolt is rigidly attached to an adapter which may also be modified to create stresses on the flange of the wellhead member. The induced stresses counter the tensile stresses experienced by the flange during fracing operations, allowing a standard wellhead member to be utilized.

  • Patent number: 6047776
Abstract: An angled passageway is provided in a tubing head of a wellhead assembly for reducing an angle of bend in a control line exiting from a tubing hanger. The angled passageway extends from the bottom to the top of the tubing hanger and is angled relative to the longitudinal axis. By traversing the longitudinal axis with the angled passageway, a sufficient angular orientation of the control line is achieved to minimize bend in the control tube. Another embodiment teaches an upper angled passageway segment in communication with a lower angled passageway segment that interface with one another at an angle. By providing two interacting angled passageways, the required angle of bend of the control tube exiting from the tubing hanger is further reduced.
