  • Patent number: 5090858
Abstract: Considerable difficulties are encountered in fixing holding devices for objects to or into motor vehicle interior parts made from foamed material, such as e.g. mirrors to sun visors. It is therefore proposed to provide on the holding devices, sinking pins with passage openings and cross-pins, which are driven through the passage openings into the foamed material.

  • Patent number: 4973020
Abstract: A mirror housing with a swivelable flap which covers the mirror and is arrestable in an open and a closed position, and a snap-in arrangement including a permanent magnet and a metal piece for securely fastening the flap in the end positions.

  • Patent number: 4904013
Abstract: Movable sun visor (10) which is supported in a carriage shape via front and rear pair of bearing points (12, 13) in lateral guide grooves. The length and the curvature pattern of the guide grooves is selected such that the sun visor (10) can be rapidly transferred from the out-of-use position to the in-use position. However, a shock effect on the drive can be caused thereby. It is therefore proposed that the guide curve for the front pair of bearing points (12) has an S-shaped course, the guide curve has a convex curvature in the first path segments and a concave curvature in the last path segments, and the guide curve for the rear pair of bearing points (13) has a convex curvature over the entire length of the curve.

  • Patent number: 4685723
Abstract: A sun visor for a motor vehicle comprising a shield (1) covered with a covering (2) of plastics material and provided with a mirror (3) fixed in a cavity (4) provided in the shield. The mirror (3) is disposed in a detachable support (6) which is capable of being fixed in the cavity (4) by clipping, the support (6) in which the mirror (3) is slidable, being provided for this purpose with tabs (12) which are capable of elastically clipping into corresponding openings (16) provided in a metal insert (7) placed in the bottom of the cavity (4) and covered with the sheet of PVC. This manner of securing the mirror (3) is cheaper and more aesthetic than known constructions.

  • Patent number: 4562709
Abstract: The cap comprises attaching devices and key-actuated locking devices which are independent from the attaching devices. This enables the cap to be shifted by hand without use of the key if desired. The locking devices comprise a plurality of elastically yieldable strips which are part of a single member which is fixed to the body of the cap. The end portion of each strip is located in alignment with an aperture of the body and bears against the bottom of a cam groove of a member which is connected to rotate with a lock barrel receiving the key.

  • Patent number: 4518192
Abstract: A sun-glare shield comprised of first and second semi-shells formed of plastic material and assembled together, with the first semi-shell being provided with a window behind which a mirror may be either secured against a boss or retractably supported by longitudinal slideways. The exterior surfaces of the first and second semi-shells are covered by respective front and rear sheets forming an outer decorative covering for the shield.
