  • Patent number: 4848474
Abstract: The field of crude oil exploitation on a sub-marine site. The station comprises a platform 1 of octagonal shape carried by a central column 2 anchored in the ground on which is fixed an effluent collecting module 5. Stacked on the said module is a central control module 60. Fixed in overhanging fashion on six sides of the octagon are frames 10 to 15 adapted to overhang drilling wells and each carrying a production head 30, 40. On the other two sides of the octagon, fixed by means of frames, there are an umblical head 80 and a connecting module 70 for the discharge of effluent. This arrangement makes it possible to bring a certain number of wells close to the platform and so shorten the distances between the modular units.

  • Patent number: 4646841
Abstract: A circular guide table is provided for a marine production riser comprising an opening for the central tube having a ball joint allowing angular movement of the tube in any direction with respect to the table and two radial arms offset from each other by an angle close to 90.degree. fixed to the table and whose ends each support a sliding device, such as a roller carriage capable of sliding along vertical rails fixed to the platform. The table is formed from an inner collar in the form of a hub to which are fixed spokes between which the peripheral production stringers pass, the opposite ends of the spokes being joined together by an external collar provided with radial arms.

  • Patent number: 4609046
Abstract: A system is provided for guiding the central tube connector of a production riser for positioning same on an underwater well head installation. The central tube carries, during lowering, a support integral with the tube and formed by a horizontal plate having on its periphery a truncated cone shaped collar widening out towards the bottom, a guide funnel which freely rests on said support having a shoulder also widening out towards the bottom. The tube is lowered until said funnel is engaged on the installation head then, continuing the descent, the tube no longer supports the weight of the funnel and the connection may take place in a conventional way.

  • Patent number: 4596531
Abstract: A device is provided for lightening an undersea production riser having a central tube surrounded by peripheral stringers. Foamed resin collars are stacked on the central tube. They have a central opening for passing the central tube therethrough and channels disposed concentrically for passing the peripheral lines therethrough. The wall of the central channel is lined with a reinforced material and it has a conical shape for fitting the part of the lining projecting from the end of the collar into the central channel of the adjacent collar. Centering of the collars is provided by two half shells made from metal sheet bearing on the central tube and on the wall of the central channel.

  • Patent number: 4593937
Abstract: A device for connecting and disconnecting a first tubular conduit mobile in longitudinal translation inside a second fixed tubular conduit of the type comprising a longitudinally sliding mobile piece and which, for locking, bearing by an inclined bearing surface on a bearing surface of a mobile detent, causes said detent to swing through an opening formed in the wall of the fixed conduit into a groove formed in said mobile conduit. The means for driving the sleeve comprise a finger projecting through an aperture formed in the wall of said fixed conduit and sliding in a housing formed in the thickness of this conduit, for locking, under the effect of the thrust exerted by the downward movement of said mobile conduit onto said finger by means of a shoulder with which said mobile conduit is provided and, for unlocking, by sliding in the reverse direction under the effect of hydraulic or mechanical means such as a rod.
