Abstract: The invention relates to a device for connecting a cylindrical or tubular submersible element to a tubular sleeve, inter alia a submersible heating element to the sleeve of a pressurizer basin, comprising a first flange associated with the sleeve, a second flange associated with the submersible element, a resilient metal joint interposed between the two flanges, two screwthreaded tubular members, one male, the other female, which cooperate with one another via their threads, the threaded male member acting on the first flange via the agency of two half-rings, the female screwthreaded member acting on the second flange, the screwing of the two screwthreaded tubular members causing the compression of the joint.

Abstract: The apparatus for checking the set pressure of a safety valve (300) comprises: a first tank (100) filled with a first fluid (110) at a pressure less than the set pressure, and connected to the fluid inlet tubing (310) of the valve; a second tank (200) filled with a second fluid (210) at a pressure greater than the set pressure; means (410) for rapidly putting the two tanks into communication with each other; and means (500, 510, 520) for simultaneously measuring the pressure in the fluid inlet tubing and the displacement of the valve plate.

Abstract: Isolating device for positioning in a circuit upstream of the safety valve, wherein it comprises a valve member which can sealingly bear on a valve seat formed in the said circuit, neutralization means which normally maintain the valve member remote from its seat, said means being actuatable to bring the valve member in sealing engagement with its seat when it is necessary to isolate the safety valve and calibration means acting on the valve member when it is sealingly engaged with its seat to enable it to move away from the latter when the pressure upstream of the isolating device exceeds a determined value.

Abstract: A safety valve normally closed and having a flap which is biassed away from its seat against the action of resilient means whenever the fluid pressure which acts on the flap rises above a given value is disclosed. A hydraulic brake including a partition mounted inside a cylinder so as to define two liquid-filled chambers communicating with each other by calibrated passages is mounted between the flap and the resilient means, in the vicinity of the flap.
