  • Patent number: 9189725
Abstract: A device includes a main antenna suitable for capturing and transmitting an RF signal, at least one chip containing information and configured to transmit the information via the main antenna in response to an excitation of an external RF signal, and a mechanism for activating and deactivating the main antenna. The device further includes a detection circuit for detecting the presence of the external RF signal, and an indicator circuit, which is connected to the detection circuit so as to indicate the presence.

  • Patent number: 9033249
Abstract: A payment card is provided including a support in the format of a conventional bank payment card, and having a first integrated circuit dedicated to banking operations, a second integrated circuit not dedicated to banking operations; at least one man/machine interface, the second integrated circuit being configured so as to activate at least one part of the man/machine interface in response to a directive from the user and according to an algorithm contained in the second integrated circuit. A memory space is connected to the second integrated circuit for saving data arising from the execution of the algorithm; the memory space being also connected to the first integrated circuit for reading of the data arising from the execution of the algorithm. A battery is provided for powering the second integrated circuit.

  • Patent number: 6243042
Abstract: This optoelectronic system for the testing of a main antenna comprises: a test antenna designed to be placed in the field of transmission or reception of the main antenna; an optoelectronic component associated with the test antenna alternatively receiving and sending optical signals from/to remote transmitters/receivers and receiving and/or sending optical signals from/to the test antenna; an electric matching circuit connected between the optoelectronic component and the test antenna. This system thus enables the testing on the spot of an antenna (for example a radar antenna) without disturbing the radiation pattern of this antenna. This semiconductor component is therefore alternatively a modulator or a detector of light radiation, and it is connected by optical fibers to emitters and adapted detectors located out of the field of the antennas to be tested. The cables formed by dielectric materials do not disturb the radiation pattern of the antennas.

  • Patent number: 5872764
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a laser (L) and to at least one detector integrated side by side on one and the same substrate so that the laser emits, through the edge of the device, a light beam along a direction and so that the detector can detect, through the same edge of the device, a beam substantially parallel to this direction of emission. In a system for the optical reading of a recording medium, the light emitted is reflected by the medium to be read to the detector or detectors. A diffraction grating (RZ) that diffracts only diffraction waves with the same sign (positive for example) deflects at least a part of the light to the detector or detectors. Application to the reading of optical disks.

  • Patent number: 5262656
Abstract: An opto-electronic device which monolithically integrates a laser emitter and an optical detector positioned in-line on a single waveguide, in which the laser emitter and detector operate at different wavelengths. Such an opto-electronic device may find particular application in various transmission or telecommunication systems.
