  • Publication number: 20230263541
Abstract: The disclosed spine surgery system includes preoperative mapping data relating to a patient vertebra, a vertebral localization element having a mating surface specific to the patient able to be coupled to the vertebra in a unique fixed position and a three-dimensional optical marker, a robot including a movable arm and carrying an end effector member, an optical sensor device at least partially carried by the end effector member and able to observe the marker of the vertebral localization member and deducing therefrom, in real time, the relative positioning data between this marker and the end effector member, and a processing unit that determines in real time the relative positioning between the end effector member and the vertebra, by calculating, in a three-dimensional spatial frame, the position of the end effector member and by it with a region of space occupied by the vertebra as modeled.

  • Publication number: 20230218308
Abstract: The patient-specific hemivertebral surgical guide has a body with an aiming passage for guiding an instrument and a coupling face, arranged on a distal side of the body and specific to a patient so as to be applied in bespoke contact with the bone material of only one half, either left or right, of the vertebra. The coupling face has a morphology-adapted surface congruent with the posterior face of the lamina of the half of the vertebra and including peripheral portions located respectively in anteroposterior line with the lower edge of the lamina and the lateral edge of the isthmus of the half of the vertebra, and positioning studs protruding correspondingly from the peripheral portions. The morphology-adapted surface and the positioning studs are shaped so as to cooperate by matching shapes with the posterior face of the lamina, the lower edge of the lamina and the lateral edge of the isthmus, respectively, so as to maintain the body in a unique position.

  • Patent number: 9918847
Abstract: An intersomatic implant to be inserted into the intervertebral space is defined by two adjacent vertebrae, comprising a body having an upper face and a lower face, parallel to each other. The peripheries of the faces are connected by a vertical peripheral wall. Each of the faces has substantially the shape of a triangle with rounded angles, and each face includes three bearing surfaces located at the three rounded angles of the triangle. At least one of the upper and lower faces is provided with guiding means for the insertion of the implant into the intervertebral space. The guiding means comprises a plurality of ridges directed along an arc of circle, the center of which would be located in the anterior region external to the implant.

  • Patent number: 9675395
Abstract: An osteosynthesis clip having an overall U-shape, comprising two anchor bars and a connecting bar. The connecting bar including a longitudinal opening adapted to assume a closed configuration and an open configuration. The clip comprises a compression piece having a broadly oval-shaped section, housed in the opening. The piece is adapted to be rotated within the opening, thus causing the opening to shift from its closed configuration to at least one the open configuration and vice versa.

  • Publication number: 20170000482
Abstract: A surgical instrument for fitting a U-shaped osteosynthesis clip having two side bars linked together at the proximal ends by a transverse bar, the transverse bar and the proximal portions forming a proximal region of the clip, the instrument including: at least one recess intended for provisionally receiving the proximal region of the osteosynthesis clip, the distal ends of the two side bars projecting from the instrument; at least blocking means capable of preventing the translation movement of the transverse bar in the proximal and distal directions; at least anti-rotation means preventing the clip from rotating about the transverse bar; and spacing means capable of engaging with the proximal region in order to increase the distance between the distal ends of the two side bars. The invention also relates to a kit including such an instrument and to a clip intended for being received in such an instrument.
