  • Publication number: 20200368793
Abstract: An ultrasonic lens cleaner structure includes a lens of a device of a vehicle. The lens having an external surface disposed externally of the vehicle and exposed to environmental elements. An ultrasonic transducer is associated with the lens and is tuned to a resonance frequency of the lens. A frequency source is constructed and arranged to drive the ultrasonic transducer. When frequency generator drives the ultrasonic transducer at the tuned resonance frequency of the lens, the lens will vibrate at the tuned resonance frequency so as to remove or prevent the environmental elements from collecting on the external surface of the lens.

  • Patent number: 10359331
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods, system and devices for monitoring tire pressure data of vehicle wheel units. In an example a method of monitoring and expressing tire pressure data information is provided. The method includes selecting a first threshold pressure value for a tire to establish a first pressure range and a second pressure range. The method also includes monitoring pressure of the tire and generating signals indicative of tire pressure. The method further includes that in the first pressure range the signals are converted to digital signals according to a first conversion variable and in the second pressure range the signals are converted according to a second conversion variable.

  • Patent number: 10220660
Abstract: In a vehicle tire pressure sensor, a wireless, low frequency (LF) receiver identifies a particular type of signal protocol that was used to form a first message that is sent to the sensor by the vehicle. Using the identification of the protocol used to form the first message, the sensor determines a type of signal protocol to be used to transmit information to the vehicle, such as an identifier for the tire pressure sensor in a second message.

  • Patent number: 10150456
Abstract: The dynamic footprint of a tire is received and the dynamic footprint is determined by and received from a tire pressure monitoring (TPM) sensor. A weight or load of the secondary vehicle attached to the primary vehicle is calculated based at least in part on the footprint. • Patent number: 10118447
Abstract: A tool is configured to install a tire pressure monitoring (TPM) sensor in a tire rim of a vehicle tire. The tool includes a lever having a rotational movement about a rotational axis; a cam selectively coupled to the lever; and a push pin selectively coupled to the cam. The cam translates the rotational movement of the lever into a liner or translational movement of the push pin. The linear or translational movement is effective to impact or move a roll pin of a tire pressure monitoring (TPM) sensor disposed at the tool, such that portions of the TPM sensor or pushed through an opening in a tire rim.
