  • Patent number: 6454948
Abstract: Device (DME) or panel for collecting, distributing, mixing or drawing off several fluids, at least one main fluid and at least two secondary fluids, that comprises at least: means for collecting a main fluid (3, 9), at least two injection and/or draw-off rails (6, 7) that allow the passage of secondary fluids, at least two mixing chambers (11, 11b) that communicate with injection and/or draw-off rails (6, 7) with orifices or passages (6i, 7i), means (12, 4) for redistributing the fluid that is obtained from said mixing chambers, means (5a, 5b) for separating collecting and redistributing means and draw-off rails (6, 7) are arranged one above the other, and mixing chambers (11a, 11b) are arranged on both sides of the rails and symmetrically relative to the orifices that have an injection function.

  • Patent number: 6348510
Abstract: Optimized process for effecting the production of heavy hydrocarbons according to the Fischer-Tropsch method which comprises: (a) feeding the reagent gases into a reactor; (b) at least partially recovering the heavy hydrocarbons formed in step (a) by their external or internal separation from the catalytic particles; the above process being characterized in that in step (a) the reaction takes place: (1) in t he presence of solid particles which have a particle Reynolds number (Rep) greater than 0.1, (2) keeping the solid particles suspended at a height H, with Us, Ul, and Ug value s which are such as to have a Bodenstein number Bos≦1, preferably ≦0.4.

  • Patent number: 6284134
Abstract: The device comprises at least one column 1 that is filled with a number of beds An, whereby each bed Ai is separated from the next bed Ai+1 by a fluid distributor plate Pi. Each plate is divided into a number of sectors P10, and P11, and each sector comprises at least two fluid distribution chambers CHi and CHj. Each chamber of the plate is connected to a transfer line LTi and LTj to the outside. Transfer line LTi, which is associated with chambers CHi of a distributor plate, is connected to transfer line LTj, which is associated with chambers CHj of the same plate, via a bypass line Li,j. The latter comprises means 14, 15, 16, and 17 for controlling and adjusting the flow rate of fluid that circulates there, such that each distribution chamber CHi is flushed by a fluid that is obtained from chamber CHj and that has approximately the same composition as that of the fluid that circulates through distributor plate Pi at each of the chambers.

  • Patent number: 6146537
Abstract: The device comprises at least one column 1 that is filled with a number of beds A.sub.n, whereby each bed A.sub.i is separated from the next bed A.sub.i+1 by a fluid distributor plate P.sub.i. Each plate is divided into a number of sectors P.sub.10, and P.sub.11, and each sector comprises at least two fluid distribution chambers CH.sub.i and CH.sub.j. Each chamber of the plate is connected to a transfer line LT.sub.i and LT.sub.j to the outside. Transfer line LT.sub.i, which is associated with chambers CH.sub.i of a distributor plate, is connected to transfer line LT.sub.j, which is associated with chambers CH.sub.j of the same plate, via a bypass line L.sub.i,j. The latter comprises means 14, 15, 16, and 17 for controlling and adjusting the flow rate of fluid that circulates there, such that each distribution chamber CH.sub.i is flushed by a fluid that is obtained from chamber CH.sub.j and that has approximately the same composition as that of the fluid that circulates through distributor plate P.sub.
