Abstract: An adjustable sewer inlet section for collecting and directing surface water to an underground conduit of a sewer. The inlet section comprises an eccentric hollow member adapted to be adjustably rotated on the top of the underground conduit to adjust the position of a surface water receiving member relative to a reference line, even though the underground conduit has been misplaced. A non-rigid connector is provided for connecting the receiving member in flow communication with the underground conduit, while allowing relative movement of the receiving member with respect to the underground conduit. The receiving member is provided with an inwardly directed bottom wall adapted to ensure proper distribution of loads from the receiving member to the underlying ground material.

Abstract: Method of protecting a planetary rover vehicle, that travels in a manner that is at least partially autonomous, against an exterior environment that has become hostile wherein the vehicle takes shelter and emerges from shelter against the exterior environment of its own accord, respectively in response to first and second events delimiting a period in which the exterior environment is hostile. The vehicle is therefore isolated from the exterior environment during this period.

Abstract: The invention relates to a rotary microwave joint device comprising a main circular waveguide constituted by two portions (10, 11) situated as extensions to each other and rotatable relative to one another about their axis of symmetry, each of said two portions (10, 11) being provided with at least one access which is orthogonal thereto, and mechanical means enabling a circularly polarized wave to be obtained in the main waveguide. The invention is applicable to space telecommunications.
