  • Patent number: 8016341
Abstract: A motor vehicle seat comprises a backrest (3), a seating surface (2) connected to the backrest (3) by a pivotable connection (P1) and to the vehicle floor by a front leg support (P2). The inventive stowable seat also comprises a swing arm (7) connected to the backrest and the floor by two pivot joints (P4,P5), wherein the seat is movable between an unfolded state when the seating surface (2) is substentially parallel to the floor, the backrest (3) is in a substentially vertical position and, each swing arm (7) is placed in the backrest (3) extension, thereby enabling it to be upwardly displaced and a folded state when the backrest (3) is folded substantially horizontally onto the seating surface (2).

  • Patent number: 5692802
Abstract: A vehicle seat includes a seat part which is formed by a cushion secured to a first armature itself supported by a second armature on which the backrest is mounted, it being possible for the first armature to be moved back and forth with respect to the second armature. The first armature includes a rear part which is suspended from the second-armature by at least one rear connecting piece, and the first armature further includes a front part which is linked to the second armature by a front mechanism compatible with the rocking motion of the rear part of the first armature. When a user is seated in the seat, the first armature is urged backward by the weight of the user.

  • Patent number: 5647635
Abstract: The seat comprises several swivelling pins parallel with each other and about which the seat nose pivots successively from a given position to a following one, while the seat nose has the general shape of a polygon, the successive sides of which have increasing lengths. The position of said pins in relation to said sides is such that the seat nose surface facing upwards in each one of said positions is substantially in prolongation of the top surface of the cushion and in close proximity to it.
