Abstract: An ionizing radiation detector has conductive tubes arranged in parallel and containing a pressurized gas mixture, a conductive wire being pulled tight at the center of each tube and capable of being biased with respect thereto. Each tube is divided into isolated longitudinal sections. All the tube sections of a same transverse slice are electrically connected. Each group of sections of a same slice includes means for being connected to an elementary detector, wherein each slice is formed of a grid of blades.

Abstract: A permanent magnet actuated pilot operated valve having a central permanent magnet disposed within an annular axially polarized magnet. The annular magnet is attached to a pressure responsive membrane moveably responsive to a fluid pressure control signal. Movement of the annular permanent magnet effects movement of the central magnet, either by attraction or repulsion depending on whether like or opposite poling is employed. Movement of the central magnet effects opening of a pilot valve which creates a pressure differential which in turn causes a second pressure responsive membrane to move and effect opening of a main valve. Change in the fluid pressure control signal causes the annular magnet to return to its original position thereby effecting reverse movement of the central magnet and closure of the pilot valve. A bleed hole causes pressure equalization across the second membrane and reclosure of the main valve.

Abstract: For protecting the pump of a carpet cleaner, the cut-out terminals 16, 15 are commanded by the pressure of fluid in passage 11, 12, 13 which communicates with volume 22 having as an upper wall a flexible diaphragm 24. A fluid tight and electrically insulating housing 9 has a fixed boss portion 19 which is surrounded by a mobile annular permanent magnet 25 carried by diaphragm 24 and which guides a central mobile permanent magnet 20 which drives a mobile contact 18 up or down, closing or opening terminals 15, 16. High pressure at 11 drives diaphragm 24 and magnet 25 upwards, which attracts magnet 20 upwards, and connects terminals 15, 16 via mobile contact 18.
