  • Patent number: 6756952
Abstract: The disclosure concerns a light display panel with a matrix of pixels each comprising three monochrome electroluminescent diodes of three colors. The diodes are controlled by a control circuit delivering electrical power P to each diode, said electrical power being expressed in the form P−k.Pr, wherein Pr is a reference electrical power particular to the diodes of each color and k is a coefficient selected according to the display to be presented. Over the course of time the reference electrical power is subjected to different variations depending on the colors, to compensate for the aging of the diodes.

  • Patent number: 6253148
Abstract: An information system for informing users of a bus network about waiting times for buses at stops in the network. The system includes a system for locating buses coupled to a central point which broadcasts said positions at successive instants &thgr; to receivers adapted to calculate waiting times for the buses on the basis of their positions, which positions reach the receivers after a certain average length of “transit” time T. In order to ensure that calculated waiting times as are accurate as possible, the central computer point broadcasts to the receivers estimated positions that the buses are expected to occupy at instant &thgr;+T.

  • Patent number: 5483234
Abstract: The installation is intended to inform users of a bus network about waiting times for buses at stops in the network, the installation including a central station suitable for transmitting radio signals relating to the real instantaneous positions of the buses and portable receiver appliances (1) suitable for displaying waiting times on their own screens (3). Each appliance has an appliance identification symbol recorded therein and also (at 11) an expiry date, and it is possible to obtain the desired displays on the screen only if said appliance is used earlier than said date. Provision is made for renewing the appliance remotely for new subscription periods at the end of each subscription.

  • Patent number: 5090069
Abstract: A self-cleaning sanitation module comprises a toilet pan movable between a use position and a cleaning position in which it is behind a separating wall. A back is provided movable between two positions, a use position and a cleaning position in which the back in disposed vertically above the pan. The displacement of the pan and the back between their use position and their cleaning position is performed in such a way that there is always a very small gap between the back and the pan.

  • Patent number: 4797959
Abstract: The invention relates to a sanitary unit having an automatic cleansing cycle. The unit comprises a lockable enclosure in which a partition defines a usage zone and a maintenance zone. A bowl is mounted for rotation between a utilization position in which it projects horizontally from the partition in said usage zone and a cleaning position in which it is tipped up into an opening in the partition so as to empty it into the maintenance zone. The upwards opening of the bowl is separated into two sections by a partition wall which extends upwardly to cooperate with the front walls of the bowl to form a rim surrounding the utilization section of the bowl. The bottom of the partition wall stops short of the base of the bowl to define an orifice and the rear section of the bowl forms an evacuation passage from the evacuation orifice rearwards to the maintenance zone when the bowl is tipped up.

  • Patent number: 4249231
Abstract: The device is adaptable for any panel of non-opaque material, whether it concerns advertisement, information panel, signboards, signposts or signalling posts or the like. The panel 1 is associated with at least one source of lighting 3 which faces one of the edges 2 of the panel. The panel carries an engraving 7 having a surface which reflects light and divides the incident beam into a series of pencils of light associated with various elements of the engraving.

  • Patent number: 4227329
Abstract: The sign post comprises a supporting tube and one or more sign box structures which may or may not be illuminated for providing information to the public, in particular in a town zone. In this sign post, the box structure comprises at least two half-shells which are detachably assembled and the assembly faces of the two half-shells have complementary recesses for the passage of the supporting tube. This type of sign post is particularly applicable in road sign systems.

  • Patent number: 4210973
Abstract: The sanitary unit comprises at least one vessel such as a bowl, basin or a lavatory pan and is intended to be installed in particular in cabins of public or private places such as sanitary installations located in towns or areas in the country such as those provided alongside roads. In this unit the vessel is movable between a position of use and a cleaning position. The unit comprises means for cleaning the vessel when the latter is in its cleaning position and means for controlling the displacement of the vessel between the two positions and means for actuating the cleaning means.

  • Patent number: 4205801
Abstract: This device is of the type comprising a frame and two rollers which are mounted to rotate on the frame, about parallel axes. The band is fixed at both ends to the rollers. Means for driving in rotation at least one of the rollers and means for regulating the tension of the band between the rollers are provided. The means for driving in rotation are constantly engaged with the corresponding roller and means for regulating the tension of the band are means for relaxing the tension of the active part of the driving means and means for simultaneously increasing the tension of the passive part of the driving means.

  • Patent number: 4168039
Abstract: The device compensates for the offset of a sheet element which is movably mounted on at least two parallel rollers which are alternately supply and receiving rollers. At least one (1) of these rollers is inclinable relative to the other and is controlled by means (17-20) for detecting the offset of the sheet element and acting on compensating means (3-12) which modify the angle of the inclinable roller. This device comprises an offset compensating member (3) which normally rotates with the inclinable roller when the sheet element is correctly centered. The rotation of the compensating member is temporarily interrupted and converted into a linear displacement by the action of at least one abutment (9) which is shifted by the detecting means when the latter detects an offset of the sheet element. The compensating means cooperates, in its linear displacement, with the profile of a cam (12) which modifies the position of one end of the inclinable roller and consequently the angle of the latter.

  • Patent number: 4162585
Abstract: This display panel for a plurality of posters to be displayed sequentially comprises a pair of spools, namely a feed spool and a take-up spool, and drive means for causing each spool to become by turns the feed spool and the take-up spool, and means for automatically correcting the lateral shift of the poster band by reducing the tension exerted on the paper on the side opposite the buckling side, or, in other words, for creating on the side opposite said observed buckling another compensating effect buckling so as to change the orientation of said shift, which in any case is detected by means known per se; the correction means are such that they modify the inclination of one spool in relation to the other in the poster plane in order to reduce the distance between the axes of the two spools on the side opposite the buckling of said poster band which is due to a reduction in the paper tension.
