  • Patent number: 11824669
Abstract: A method of media state synchronization is described. An applicative entity sends a request to a rules control entity asking the rules control entity to dispatch a message to the applicative entity describing the state of the media controlled by this applicative entity and currently being used. On expiry of a default deadline or one contained in the request, the rules control entity sends the applicative entity a message in which the rules control entity describes the state of the media.

  • Publication number: 20230353601
Abstract: A method for processing messages, implemented by a device in a telecommunication network, is described. The method includes obtaining a correlation identifier, associated uniquely with a service performed by the telecommunication network and allowing the establishment of a correlation between messages that are associated with the service, regardless of the protocols with which the messages conform and/or of the interfaces over which the messages are conveyed. The method also includes saving the correlation identifier in a context associated with the service, and sending at least one message with a view to performing the service, each message sent comprising the correlation identifier saved in the context associated with the service.

  • Patent number: 11785573
Abstract: A method of determining a geographical location of an access point in a wireless local access network allowing access to a multimedia IP network core, implemented by an input server of the network core, is described. After receipt of a message from a terminal via the access point containing information on the location of the terminal inserted into the message signal, a material identifier of the access point is extracted and stored with the location information. A geographical location of the access point is determined using location information stored with the material identifier of the access point. The geographical location of the access point associated with the extracted material identifier may be inserted into the message signal as the geographical location of the terminal, prior to transmitting this message to another piece of equipment in the network core.

  • Patent number: 11770743
Abstract: Communication by messages such as provided by the mobile telephony standard, Rich Communication Services (RCS), is described. A method for exchanging messages implemented by a user terminal capable of transmitting a message via one of a first network and a second network is described, the method including, when the terminal of the user is in a second transmission mode for a contact terminal, triggering a failover of the user terminal in a first transmission mode for the contact terminal, as soon as a notification is received at the terminal of the user of connecting to the first network of the contact terminal coming from a messaging server on the first network. Thus, returning to using the first network by the user terminal only depends on one single message: the connection notification, and the exchanges for determining the capacities of the terminal of the contact are reduced, since this notification is only sent when the connection of the contact terminal to the first network is effective.

  • Patent number: 11513881
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for detecting a multimedia communication problem. In one aspect, this is implemented by an execution entity, in a processing phase. A message(s) is received that belongs to at least one stream to be monitored relating to at least one media stream. A correspondence between the received message(s) and rule(s) associated with a stream(s) to be monitored is verified. If verified an error detection massage is sent to a checking entity separate from the execution entity, via a rule management entity.

  • Patent number: 11418635
Abstract: Some embodiments relate to a selection method enabling a first user of an IP network to select one client device from a plurality of client devices of a second user connected to the IP network. The method comprises the client device of the first user sending a request to the second user the request being of a dedicated type or having a header containing a dedicated indicator. At least one of the client devices of the second user that has received the request responds to the first user message via a request indicating the technical capabilities of the client device of the second user and requests the client device of the first user to supply the technical capabilities of that client device of the first user. The method may have applications to IMS networks.

  • Patent number: 11283842
Abstract: A method is described, the method relating to control of a communication between a first device and a second device using a communication protocol including at least a first transaction, and at least one subsequent second transaction. The method can include transmission, by the first device to the second device during the first transaction, of both a maximum acceptable delay between the end of the first transaction and the beginning of the second transaction, as well as an explicit indication of the type of message characterizing the beginning of the second transaction. The second device can then trigger a timer for the delay. The method is applicable to IMS networks.

  • Patent number: 11115878
Abstract: A method for changing mobile networks is described. The method may include detecting a need to switch a communication in which a terminal is participating, from a first mobile network to a second mobile network connected to the same IP network; transmission of the IMSI identifier of the terminal, by a first management center of the first mobile network to a second management center of the second mobile network; sending the IMSI identifier to the core of the IP network from the second management center; receiving a request containing the IMSI identifier by an access transfer control entity; and identifying the contact address of the terminal using the IMSI identifier. A recording server in charge of the terminal has previously obtained the IMSI identifier and sent it to the access transfer control entity.

  • Patent number: 10855653
Abstract: A method of maintaining transport address associations in a transport address translation entity connected in series between a first device and a second device is disclosed. The first device can use a first transport protocol to send a first message to cause the transport address translation entity to make a first association of a first public address with a first private address. On receiving a response to the first message from the second device, the first device can use a second transport protocol to send a second message to cause the transport address translation entity to make a second association of a second private address with a second public address and with the second transport protocol. The second message can contain correspondence information that is also contained in the first message and/or in the response to the first message.

  • Patent number: 10721655
Abstract: A method is disclosed of processing emergency call transfer requests by an entry server of an IMS core network. The method includes configuring a table associating at least one emergency call session transfer number with a plurality of emergency call session transfer nodes, each node being identified in the table by an address. Upon receiving a request to transfer an emergency call session from a first access network to a second access network, the request including an emergency call session transfer number, the table is used to determine at least one address of a transfer node associated with the transfer number contained in the request to transfer the request. The transfer request is then sent to the at least one determined address.

  • Publication number: 20190394144
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for splitting application messages in an IP (Internet Protocol) network, comprising the following steps: a) a node of the IP network, termed the first node, receives a message having to be transmitted to another node of the IP network, termed the second node; b) said first node compares the length of said message with the maximum transmission size MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit) characterizing the path between said first node and said second node; and if said length is greater than the MTU, c) the first node splits the message into at least two segments, and inserts each respective segment into a respective data packet of length less than or equal to the MTU; d) the first node transmits said data packets to the second node; and e) the second node assembles said segments so as to reconstruct said message.
