  • Patent number: 4478093
Abstract: A dynamometer is provided with a testing member having a bending beam. The bending beam has an end embedded in a support and is elastically deformable in bending under the influence of a force Q applied to its opposite end. The dynamometer further comprises a sensor for detecting the deformation of the beam. Anchorage zones are defined in the material of the beam, for receiving four rows of windings of prestressed gauge wire having their principal strands directed approximately perpendicularly to the force Q. The principal strands remain in close contact with the beam in the bending zone. Two of the rows of windings have their principal strands arranged along the tensioned fibres of the beam and the other two have their main strands arranged along the compressed fibres of the beam. The four rows of windings form an electrical bridge assembly.

  • Patent number: 4411162
Abstract: A dynamometer comprising a testing body which is deformable under the effect of a force which is applied, in the material of which are defined bearing zones capable of receiving four series of windings of prestressed gauge wire remaining in close contact with the testing body, of which two have principal segments oriented parallel to the force applied, while the two others have principal segments oriented perpendicularly to the force applied, these four series of windings forming an electrical bridge arrangement, the segments oriented parallel to the force applied being located in opposite arms of the bridge arrangement, as are the segments oriented perpendicularly to the force applied. The invention is useful for the production of industrial dynamometers.

  • Patent number: 4344496
Abstract: The present invention relates to a load receiver. This load receiver comprises a fixed upright integral with a frame, a loaded upright integral with a load-carrying plate and two arms hinged on the uprights to form therewith a deformable parallelogram, and two uprights and the two arms together forming an integral structure, provided with constrictions which define the hinges of the deformable parallelogram, and a load transducer provided to detect the deformation of the parallelogram under the effect of a load applied on the plate. The load receiver is of use notably for commercial balances.
