  • Publication number: 20090209964
Abstract: A trephine for removal of a bone core comprising a tubular tool and a gripping shaft allowing the tool to be driven in rotation by an instrument, means for guiding the tool comprising a rod which protrudes from the tool and which is provided with means for centering on the trephine, the guiding means comprising a drill bit for forming a preliminary hole in the bone substance before the tool comes in contact with the bone core which hole forms a channel receiving the protruding end of the rod which constitutes a guide finger as a peg capable of being introduced inside the preliminary hole.

  • Publication number: 20060111724
Abstract: A bone harvesting drill bit has a longitudinal axis and includes a proximal end portion adapted to be mounted for rotation in a chuck of a surgical handpiece. The drill bit has a distal end portion having a boring tip for boring into a bone harvesting site and an intermediate or lateral cutting zone located between the distal and proximal end portions and at least one substantially longitudinal cutting edge making an angle of less than 20° relative to the longitudinal axis, and at least one bone collecting zone adjoining the at least one longitudinal cutting edge and having a radial depth greater than the radius of the intermediate or lateral cutting zone.

  • Patent number: 6527553
Abstract: The invention relates to a prosthetic assembly comprising a pillar that is to receive a crown or a bridge, and a pillar screw for joining the pillar to an implant implanted in the patient's jawbone, the pillar screw comprising a body that can be joined to the implant and a head that interacts with the pillar. According to the invention, the head of the pillar screw is arranged in such a way that it projects from the patient's gum and forms with the pillar, through complementarity of shapes, a single volume that is to receive the crown or bridge, the pillar representing at least about half of the single volume.

  • Patent number: 6468081
Abstract: A laboratory analog has a pin of a dental prosthesis system screwed into it so that it can be worked. The analog has at least two parts threaded one inside the other, including an upper part, having an upper end reproducing a connecting upper part of an implant implanted in the jawbone of a patient, and a lower part. One of the two parts has a thread for screwing in the pin and the other part includes rotation-preventing means adapted to cooperate through complementary shapes with a pin screw or a threaded part of the pin screwed into the thread to prevent it rotating.
