  • Publication number: 20050213769
Abstract: The cryptographic method is used in transactions for which a first entity generates, by means of a private RSA key, a proof verifiable by a second entity by means of a public RSA key associated with said private key. The public key includes an exponent and a module. The first entity generates a first element of proof by a calculation that can be performed independently of the transaction, and a second element of proof related to the first element of proof and which depends on a common number shared by the first and the second entities specifically for the transaction. The second entity verifies that the first element of proof is related, modulo the module of the public key, to a power of a generic number, with an exponent equal to a linear combination of the common number and of a product of the exponent of the public key by the second element of proof.

  • Publication number: 20050202523
Abstract: Method for the detection and enumeration of viable microorganisms. A liquid that comprises one or more markers incorporated in a liquid sol-gel precursor, is provided. A transparent slide is coated with a thin uniform layer of the liquid sol-gel precursor composition. The microorganisms are separated from liquid sample to be analyzed by passing the sample through a filter, and then bringing the filter into close contact with the sol-gel coated slide. The filter is co-incubated with the sol-gel coated slide for a period of time and at a temperature suitable to promote uptake of the markers by the microorganisms. The gel-coated slide irradiated with an external energy source, so as to generate detectable signals emitted from the markers uptaken by the microorganisms. Image of the detectable signals emitted from the microorganisms are acquired, and analyzed using a computer system, in order to provide the identification and enumeration of the microorganisms.

  • Publication number: 20050201859
Abstract: A ventilation circuit of a turbomachine turbine rotor having a turbine disk and an upstream flange disposed upstream from a combustion chamber from which it is spaced apart by a cavity. A first cooling air circuit delivers air into the cavity via main injectors and holes in the flange. A second cooling air circuit delivers air through enclosures delimited by the combustion chamber inner casing and the rotor via a discharge labyrinth, an under-injector labyrinth, and at least one labyrinth downstream from the main injectors between an annular structure and the flange. Three single-wiper labyrinths delimiting two cavities upstream from the venting cavity of the turbine disk are provided downstream from the main injectors. One of the cavities is fed with air from the second circuit upstream from the under-injector labyrinth by bore holes in the annular structure sloping tangentially in the rotation direction of the rotor.

  • Patent number: 6941809
Abstract: The invention concerns a temperature-compensated accelerator measurement using two vibrating resonators whereof the frequencies (f1, f2) are measured, then used for determining (18, 19) the most probable temperature value (T) based on the sum f1+f2 and on a pre-established correlation (14) between the temperature and the sum f1+f2 and finally based on the determination (20) of the amount f1?f2 of the weighted temperature value, calculating (21) the temperature compensated value of the acceleration (?).

  • Patent number: 6938780
Abstract: A centrifugal separator for separating particles from gas uses a separator chamber having an upper potion with at least three substantially vertical planar walls with perpendicular inner faces, and a lower portion, for defining in the chamber a vertical gas vortex. The gas vortex has an inlet formed in the vicinity of a first corner between the first and second walls for gas to be dedusted, an outlet for dedusted gas, and an outlet for separated particles. The separator uses an acceleration duct with a first transverse section at the first end of the duct that is distinctly greater than a second cross section at the second end. • Publication number: 20050189767
Abstract: A spacer for putting into place on a tubular element includes firstly a sleeve of high-compressibility cellular material, the sleeve presenting a wide slot extending over its entire length and defining a central passage that is essentially cylindrical- and being of diameter greater than the nominal diameter of the tubular element, and secondly a sheath of heat-shrink plastics material surrounding the split sleeve at least as far as the end edges thereof. The sheath is partially shrunk on the split sleeve firstly so as to hold the split sleeve in the open state for putting the spacer into place on the tubular element, and secondly so as to be able subsequently to be heat-shrunk to clamp the split sleeve and fix the spacer in position.

  • Patent number: 6938166
Abstract: In a digital satellite television system in which a television receives its signal via receiver/decoder, such as a set top box, interactive applications can be downloaded and run on the receiver/decoder. The application code is arranged as modules, and the downloading of modules is preceded by searching a directory module within a specified local address. The modules are signed and the directory module is signed and encrypted so that a single encryption applies to all of the modules making up the application. Multiple public encryption keys are stored in ROM in the receiver/decoder, so that applications can be created by different sources, without the sources needing to know each other's private encryption keys. A facility is provided to enable an encryption key to be temporarily stored in RAM in the receiver/decoder, so that a manufacturer of the receiver/decoder can check its functionality. A signature of the directory may be hidden at a variable position in a block of dummy data in the directory module.
