  • Patent number: 4785713
Abstract: In a driving device of the piston-flowmeter type, in particular for a proportioning pump, a distributor is mounted at one end of a piston cylinder for controlling the admission and discharge of fluid within two chambers formed respectively on each side of the piston. The distributor body is provided with circular flow passages and two pairs of valve-seats in cooperating relation with two seals of a two-position tubular valve. The valve has a central bore traversed by the piston rod and coupled to a resilient bistable mechanism for reversing the state of the valve and maintaining it in either of its two positions.

  • Patent number: 4756329
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for injecting a metered product into a main circulation of liquid, comprising a metering piston (28) coupled to a stepped piston (11) whose motion results from the pressure of the main fluid in a known manner. The piston (28) interacts with a metering cylinder (10) which is in permanent communication with the lower part of the liquid outlet chamber (8). The mixture of the products is thus confined to the outlet of the device, while no leakproof sliding of a component on contact with either of the liquid and product is necessary, and this eliminates the risks of abrasion of the seals due to deposits on the sliding component. In addition, since the inlet chamber (6) for the main liquid is annular, it permits a filter (33) to be easily installed.

  • Patent number: 4719781
Abstract: This invention relates to a device for straightening metal wires by means of a plurality of straightening rollers located alternately on either side of the wire, comprising a fixed chassis, a fixed carriage and mobile carriages guided on two bars parallel to the general direction of the wire. Two adjacent carriages are connected by levers assembled as scissors articulated on the carriages in the lower part and on sliding blocks guided vertically on the carriages in the upper part. A plurality of carriages and lever systems are assembled so that the distance between two adjacent carriages remains identical whatever the carriages in question during displacement of one of them. Each carriage bears one of the rollers located above the wire. Each roller located beneath the wire is borne by one of the levers, and located in an intermediate position between two adjacent upper rollers so that it moves away from said rollers and moves downwardly when the carriages are moved apart.

  • Patent number: 4285197
Abstract: Isothermal chamber comprising deformable walls and acting as a heat exchanger. It is constituted by two walls 3,3a of complementary shape defining between them an enclosure 4 containing a gas, the said walls having a deformable zone 5 and a rigid zone 6 providing a variable capacity in heat exchange with an auxiliary fluid, in such a way that the gas contained in the enclosure will undergo substantially isothermal transformations. The invention is employed for the construction of gas compressors and heat engines.

  • Patent number: 4091700
Abstract: A press-head comprising a plurality of punches and stripping members, wherein at least one of the punches may be directly connected to the head of the press for the machining operation, while the other punches and the stripping members abut via an elastic means on said head so that, on either side of the active punch in the process of machining, when the head is descending, at least one punch is used as stripping member selectively with a stripping member or a punch used as stripping member.

  • Patent number: 4060351
Abstract: This invention relates to controlled inlet valves for metering pumps. The metering pumps for which the valve of the invention is applicable are of the kind comprising a cylinder in which moves a piston to which a reciprocating movement is imparted. In the valve of the invention a member is mounted to slide in the pump cylinder and one of the ends of this member has an obturator which co-operates with a sealing gland arranged at the inlet opening to the cylinder. The sliding member is selectively coupled at its other end to the piston and is subject to the urging of an elastic member which is capable of thrusting the obturator back to the closed position.

  • Patent number: 4040320
Abstract: A punching machine for use in punching holes in the sides of articles incorporating two C-shaped assemblies forming punching tool supports and guided within the machine in such a way that they can be displaced and moved away from each other. Means are provided for placing the assemblies, on the one hand, in a working position, in which the position of a punch tool on one of the tool supports is maintained at a predetermined distance from a guide plane coinciding with a guiding surface on the article to be drilled, and in which the spacing of the tool supports is maintained at a predetermined value, and on the other hand, in a position for rotation of the article to be drilled, such that each assembly is displaced in relation to its working position in the sense of an increase in the distance separating the two assemblies.

  • Patent number: 4029427
Abstract: Apparatus for positioning a machine tool in relation to a workpiece comprises a support for the tool actuated by a fluid ram, with a control member carried by the support on a parallelogram linkage and arranged to operate a servo-valve associated with the ram. The controller is actuated at selected positions by a selected one of a number of pre-selector members adjustably located on a reference member which also engages the work. Each pre-selector member has an extendable roller controlled by a small fluid ram and when the roller runs off the end of the control member the ram stops and the machine tool is then in position.

  • Patent number: 4021153
Abstract: This invention relates to liquid metering pumps and according to the invention such a pump comprises a cylinder permanently connected to an inlet passage for the liquid and in which said cylinder a plunger piston is arranged to slide said piston co-operating with a sealing gland on the inlet side. The piston is urged by an elastic member into contact with a reciprocable actuating rod which co-operates with a sealing gland on the outlet side. The two sealing glands are separated by a spacer to form an annular chamber around the plunger piston and the actuating rod.
