  • Patent number: 7442189
Abstract: A re-forming device in particular for mixing substances in the medical field, includes a hollow needle pointed at its two tips and fixed on a support defining two coaxial sleeves enclosing each end of the needle and designed to receive, one, the plug opening of a vial, the other, the hub of an injection tube of a flexible bag, so as to communicate, by perforating the plug and hub, the vial and the flexible bag via the needle. The sleeve, on the side of the flexible bag, is dimensioned and designed to be engaged on the hub in a first stable position wherein the device is secured to the bag without the needle being in contact with the hub and the sleeve is mounted sliding on the hub so as to pass, through simple depression of the device on the hub, from the first position into a second position, corresponding to the perforation of the hub by the needle.

  • Patent number: 6955669
Abstract: A transfer set in particular for delivering a mixture of liquids for medical purposes, from a so-called flexible main bag containing a first liquid and from at least a so-called auxiliary bag containing a second liquid, connectable to the main bag through a pair of Luer-Lock connectors respectively male and female. Each of the two connectors has, at one end, a frangible section engaged in the end of a tubing connected to one of the bags and, at the other end, elements for being coupled to the other connector, provided with elements for locking the connectors in coupled position. The invention is useful for delivering liquids for medical purposes.

  • Publication number: 20050035149
Abstract: A perfusion tip for a flexible bag for medical use includes a tube formed in two tubular coaxial parts separated by a transverse pierceable membrane. The tube is provided on its external periphery with an annular projection delimiting an upstream tip portion adapted to be introduced in and fixed to by welding a portion secured to the flexible bag to be equipped, and a downstream tip portion adapted to receive a perfusion line. The tube also includes a ring engaged within the upstream portion and adapted, because of its hardness, to serve as a mandrel during production of the weld between the periphery of the upstream portion and the portion of the bag in which this upstream portion has been introduced, and a cover that caps the downstream portion and is adapted to ensure maintenance of the sterility of the tube while permitting access thereto.

  • Publication number: 20040116891
Abstract: The invention concerns a transfer set in particular for delivering a mixture of liquids for medical purposes, from a so-called flexible main bag (1) containing a first liquid and from at least a so-called auxiliary bag (2, 3) containing a second liquid, capable of being connected to the main bag through a pair of Luer-Lock connectors (8) respectively male and female. The invention is characterised in that each of the two connectors (8) comprises, at one end, a frangible section (10, 17) engaged in the end of a tubing (6, 4) connected to one of the bags (1, 2, 3) and, at the other end, means for being coupled to the other connector, provided with means for locking said connectors in coupled position. The invention is useful for delivering liquids for medical purposes.
