    Abstract: An X-ray diagnostic apparatus intended in particular for the examination of the injured comprising: an X-ray tube-carrying arm member and a film-handling device which are respectively carried by two coaxial shafts, the common axis of which passes through the plane of the film. A horizontal patient-supporting plate is carried by means of an arrangement which enables the plate to be moved longitudinally, transversely and vertically and to be swung about a first vertical shaft, this arrangement being connected to the framework which supports the coaxial shafts in such a way as to enable it to swing about a second vertical shaft the axis of which intersects at the center of the exposure field with both the common axis and the central X-ray beam.
