  • Publication number: 20240065766
Abstract: A method comprises obtaining, by a computing system, one or more surgeon preference parameters that specify values of one or more surgical parameters, wherein the surgical parameters include one or more positioning parameters for a glenoid implant to be attached to a glenoid fossa of a patient during a surgery; determining, by the computing system, based on one or more anatomic parameters of the patient and the surgeon preference parameters, one or more suggested surgical options, each of the surgical options corresponding to a. different combination of the positioning parameters for the glenoid implant and types of glenoid implant; and outputting, by the computing system, for display, the one or more suggested surgical options.

  • Patent number: 7462218
Abstract: A process and a device for melting aluminum where solid aluminum is melted in a furnace to form aluminum melt pool. The temperature and carbon monoxide (CO) concentration of the flue gas generated in the melting process is detected and examined for variations. Using this variation information, it is determined if aluminum oxides have formed on the surface of the aluminum melt pool and if they have, the melting process is regulated accordingly.

  • Publication number: 20050103159
Abstract: The invention concerns an alumnium melting method, which consists in introducing solid aluminium into a furnace (2), melting the aluminium to form an aluminium bath (4), detecting variations in carbon monoxide (CO) and/or hydrogen (H2) concentration and the temperature in the fumes (6) exiting from the furnace, deducing therefrom the formation of aluminium oxide at the surface of the alumnium bath (4), regulating the melting process on the basis of aluminium oxide formation. The invention also concerns a device for detecting and analyzing fumes exiting from the furnace and an aluminium melting furnace comprising said detecting device.

  • Patent number: 5350439
Abstract: A first flow of gas (C) accompanying a flow of solid particles (S), is sent at supersonic speed into a first conduit (1) prolonged by a third conduit (8) and intersecting a second conduit (6) supplying a second flow of gas (G) which is deflected into the third conduit (8) to accompany the flow of particles (S) whose trajectory is not substantially modified, the flow of the first gas (C) being deflected, downstream of an oblique shockwave (13) into a fourth conduit (9) forming a separator nose (10) with the third conduit (8). The invention is particularly applicable to the injection, into a reaction chamber (16), of solid particles with a highly oxygenated gas (G) replacing an inert gas (C) for conveying the particles.
