  • Publication number: 20220260191
Abstract: A dead-end sap line connector for a sap collection system is provided. The dead-end sap line connector comprises a fluid transfer body having interconnected walls defining a hollow inner chamber being in fluid communication with a plurality of fittings each extending from one of said walls; a first fitting being engageable with the drop line; and a second fitting extending in a direction orthogonal to the first fitting and being engageable with the lateral line. The dead-end sap line connector further comprises a sealing member extending from one of said walls in a direction opposite to said first fitting, and a plugged fitting extending from one of said walls in a direction opposite to said second fitting. A sap collection system comprising said dead-end sap line connector is also provided. Moreover, an alternative dead-end sap line connector (and a system comprising said dead-end sap line connector) is also provided.

  • Patent number: 8375938
Abstract: A portable chamber for hyperbaric/hypoxic treatment comprises a tubular body sized so as to accommodate an occupant. The tubular body is made of a non-rigid material. End frames are secured to opposed ends of the tubular body to close off the tubular body. One end frame has a door displaceable from a remainder of the end frame to provide/close access to an interior of the tubular body. Longitudinal beam members are connected at opposed ends to the end frames so as to maintain the tubular body in a taut condition between the end frames, whereby the portable chamber is in fluid communication with a pressure generator so as to receive an air supply from the pressure generator to increase a pressure in the interior of the tubular body for hyperbaric treatment.

  • Patent number: 7174844
Abstract: The simulator of the present invention comprises a submersible structure to be used in a body of water, for instance a pool. This structure comprises a bell defining a main chamber. An escape tower is provided over the bell. This escape tower defines an escape chamber communicating with the main chamber. The escape tower has a lower hatch between the main chamber and the escape chamber, and an upper hatch separating the escape chamber from outside the submersible structure. The simulator also comprises a mechanism for vertically moving the submersible structure relative to the water surface. A method of performing underwater submarine escape training is also disclosed. The simulator allows such training to be conducted in a safe and controlled environment.

  • Patent number: 5411160
Abstract: A child resistant closure has a lid and a container. In the upper area of the container, a resilient area is provided to allow a manual depression so as to distance this upper area of the container from the lower edge of the lid thus allowing a manual gripping of the lower edge of the lid. Removal of the lid is therefore effected through two successive operations in directions substantially perpendicular to one another, one being a depression of the resilient area substantially perpendicular to the axis of the body, the other being a lifting of the lid substantially parallel to this axis.
