  • Patent number: 5583482
Abstract: A device for monitoring tires, including a central processing unit and for ach wheel a measuring sensor connected by an electrical connection to a mobile antenna integral with a hub of the wheel as well as a stationary antenna integral with the hub carrier of the wheel and coupled to the stationary antenna. The central processing unit supplies the sensor with power and analyzes the measurement signals of the sensor. The electrical connection includes at least one electric conductor passing through a bolt for fastening the wheel on the hub.

  • Patent number: 5517853
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for monitoring the pressure of ti in accordance with which a tire monitoring system operates according to a normal mode of detecting flats and under-inflation and according to an assistance mode when reinflating the tires. The switch between the two modes does not require any intervention by the user: through detection of an increase of the inflation pressure in a tire, it can be deduced that the tire in question is in the process of reinflation.

  • Patent number: 5460037
Abstract: A device for monitoring and "cold" checking of an inflation pressure of ts of a vehicle. The device monitors the inflation pressure of the tires with a central processing unit, as well as a socket placed on the vehicle, connected to the central processing unit and which is able to be connected to a portable checking box. This portable checking box can supply power to and communicate with the central processing unit, to thereby check the pressure of the tires "cold" from outside of the vehicle.
