  • Publication number: 20190270155
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a cellular structure comprising the following steps: a) providing a plurality of metal sheets (126) each having, in a first direction, undulations formed by a succession of vertex areas (28) alternately arranged with junction areas (30); b) juxtaposing the sheets (126) so as to form cells; c) placing a first (26a) end of each sheet (126) in contact with a support plate; d) arranging a soldering element between the support plate (34) and the first ends (26a) of the sheets (126) and heating the assembly in a furnace. According to the invention, the method consists, prior to step d), in adding a means for blocking the diffusion of solder from said first ends (26a) of the sheets (126) to the second free ends (26b) of the sheets (126).

  • Publication number: 20150097023
Abstract: A process for joining two parts by braze-welding, including forming a joint, between two surfaces to be joined, and a fillet. The composition of the filler metal used to form the fillet is different from that used to form the joint, to provide the joint with a higher ductility. The method can, for example, be applied to production of high-pressure compressor guide-vane sectors for a turbomachine.

  • Publication number: 20130112737
Abstract: The invention relates to a composite metal powder for diffusion-brazing assembly or resurfacing of parts (1, 2) made of superalloy, the powder being formed by mixing a powder (3) of an Astroloy type base metal with a powder (4) of an NiCrB1055 type diffusion-brazing metal. The composite powder is free of silicon and it comprises in the range 65% to 70% by weight of Astroloy and in the range 30% to 35% by weight of NiCrB1055.

  • Patent number: 6223976
Abstract: A process for assembling titanium aluminide articles by diffusion brazing comprises the following steps: (a) Preparation of a homogenous mixture of a titanium aluminide powder A of 40 to 90 weight % and a powder B chemically wetting A and having an appreciably lower melting point; (b) formation of a paste by addition of an organic binder to the powder mixture; (c) depositing the paste plumb on the assembly gap; and, (d) heating the assembly in a vacuum furnace between 1000° C. and 1300° C. for a period of from a few minutes to 6 hours. This process is also of use for repairing and refacing titanium aluminide articles.
