  • Publication number: 20110054946
Abstract: In a system and method of patient flow and treatment management, information regarding a patient admitted to a first unit of a patient treatment facility that is received into a first one of a number of user devices is dispatched to a server computer. Upon receipt of this patient information the server computer runs (desirably in real-time) a prediction application/algorithm that predicts an estimate of (1) the patient needing a resource in the first unit or a second unit of the facility, (2) a length of time before the patient needs the resource, and/or (3) an identity of the unit that has the needed resource. The server computer then dispatches (again, desirably in real-time) one or more of the predictions to one or more of the user devices, each of which receives and displays the prediction on a display thereof.

  • Publication number: 20110046451
Abstract: A method and automated system for assisting in the prognosis of the progress and for assisting in the diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease in patients suffering from mild cognitive impairment (MCI). Also provided is a method for training such a system related to identifying discriminant regions of the brain and using these regions to fine tune the assistance method, based on new known cases. Imaging data (PET or SPECT) is used, representing the cerebral activity in a plurality of spatial zones (voxels). The method then includes a normalization processing of the image data, and analysis of the cerebral activity values read in a selection of voxels forming at least one predetermined discriminant region, defined by its coordinates within a spatial reference system.

  • Patent number: 7889468
Abstract: Circuit nodes are identified which, in unpowered mode, can be charged with positive or negative charges but cannot be discharged. Then protective elements are added to allow the discharge of these nodes. These elements do not affect the operation of the circuit in powered mode. Discharges of the two polarities are handled, positive and negative. The circuit is thus more resistant to ESD and passes CDM tests.

  • Patent number: 7890189
Abstract: A probe including at its distal extremity a tubular flexible sheath core supporting at least a winding forming a shock electrode and connected to a electrical conductor of connection extending in a internal lumen of the sheath core. The sheath core extends axially without a solution of continuity in the area supporting the winding. In particular, the sheath core comprises cavities to receive and hold conducting inserts, of homologous size with cavities formed locally close to the ends of the winding, the insert being connected to the interior side to the electrical conductor, and on the external side to the corresponding extremity of winding. A longitudinal slit connects the two cavities and allows, by elastic deformation of the sheath core, the introduction into the cavities and in the internal lumen of the unit formed by the final extremity of the electrical conductor beforehand equipped with its two inserts.
