  • Patent number: 5556488
Abstract: The invention relates to a tire formed of a plurality of independent pneuic sectors (S) intended to be mounted on a single rim (J) but removable individually from said rim (J), they being inflatable individually or together. The sectors (S) include at least one reinforcing armoring (4) anchored on at least one circumferential bead wire (10) in each circumferential bead, which is the bead mounted on the wheel rim (J), the reinforcing armoring (4) being radially adjacent to a reinforcement armoring (8) of the tread (2). The circumferential bead wires (10) are connected to meridian bead wires (11) located in the sidewalls (50) of the circumferentially adjacent sectors (S).

  • Patent number: 5232034
Abstract: In order to be able to increase the diameter of the standard rim (J') of a ire (P) without independent inner tube, which is provided with beads the seats of which are frustoconical and is normally used on this standard rim (J') having a mounting groove, the tire (P) is mounted on the rim (J) having a cylindrical rim base without mounting groove and the diameter (.phi..sub.JS) of which is greater than the diameter of the mounting groove of the rim (J') by means of two adapters (S.sub.1, S.sub.2) of compression-resistant vulcanized rubber reinforced by meridian and circumferential elements.

  • Patent number: 5228755
Abstract: The rim (1), which is intended to be equipped with a tire P of tubeless t, has a groove (11) adjacent the rim lip (10). This groove (11) is closed by an annular packing (2) having a valve (3). The valve body (32) is surrounded by a sheathing (21) of vulcanized rubber; the secant modulus of elasticity of which, under compression, is equal to at most 0.20 times the secant modulus of compression of the vulcanized rubber constituting the packing, these two moduli being measured under a relative deformation of 10%. A slot is provided in the rim for the entrance of inflation air.

  • Patent number: 4574921
Abstract: A first piston having a passageway for hydraulic fluid and a second piston slide within a cylindrical body of a jack for crown or disk brakes provided with a spring for opening the brake clamp or yoke. An extension of the first piston slides within a guide and actuates a movable pusher. A closure seal closes the passageway when the first piston touches the second piston. The axial friction force of the second piston on the cylindrical body is more than the force of the spring. The axial friction force of the second piston on the cylindrical body is more than the sum of the axial friction force of the first piston on the cylindrical body and the axial friction force of the extension on its guide, whereby the axial displacement of the first piston occurs before the axial displacement of the second piston when said pistons are actuated by same pressure.

  • Patent number: 4473257
Abstract: In accordance with the invention, a brake crown is fastened to a wheel disk in a crown attachment zone located between a major curved zone of the disk and a zone of attachment of the disk to a rim, and a central attachment comprises a cylindrical portion, a first curved zone against which a central bolt for fastening the disk to a hub rests and a second curved zone against which an attachment face of the hub rests.
