  • Publication number: 20100275689
Abstract: The present invention is a tuning fork oscillator for detection and measurement of corrosive or foreign materials. The elements include a means for mechanical excitation, and a mechanical oscillator, wherein said mechanical oscillator has a resonant frequency, f, and a quality factor, Q. A fuse fixed to the oscillator to change oscillator amplitude to or from essentially zero to resonance amplitude. In a preferred embodiment, the tuning fork has one region compatible with the service fluid and the other region is incompatible with the service fluid or other contaminant. The sensor alarms when a measured amount of the incompatible material has been removed or deposited.

  • Patent number: 4848801
Abstract: A bypass connection for flexible tubes, obtained by molding a coating of a junction material about a rigid tublar insert, and a process for manufacturing the connections. In these bypass connections, the insert includes at one end a first bell mouthed flange intended to be applied against the internal surface of a boss, provided with a flange which is also bell mouthed, of a main pipe, in combination with a second flange and the insert is formed by the secondary core for supporting a member to be connected to the main pipe, so that it forms an integral part of the bypass connection.

  • Patent number: 4824148
Abstract: The invention provides a device for fixing a tube or hose to an end coupling, including an element fixed by its internal face over at least a part of its length to the external face of the tube or hose, said element being adapted so as to form at its free end, distant from that fixed to the tube or hose, an annular peripheral lip having a valve forming end and cooperating with the external surface of the end coupling so as to define a chamber communicating by said end with the inner volume of the tube or hose and end coupling so that a fluid flowing through the end coupling and the tube fills said chamber so as to apply said sealing lip against the coupling with a force which is all the higher the greater the pressure in the chamber, the pressure in the chamber increasing with the pressure of the fluid flowing through the end coupling and tube or hose, but not substantially decreasing when the pressure flowing through the end coupling and hose decreases.
