  • Patent number: 11989001
Abstract: One or more video gateway devices configured to: access pre-configured criteria including at least a first condition, a second condition, and a first event; access video content captured by cameras configured to capture video of areas of a manufacturing facility; determine, based on an analysis of the video content, that the first condition is satisfied; access sensor data from one or more sensors; determine, based on an analysis of the sensor data, that the second condition is satisfied; and based on determining that the first and second conditions are satisfied, cause the first event to be executed.

  • Publication number: 20180330216
Abstract: A method of harvesting power in a passive RFID device including a passive biometric authentication engine, including the steps of receiving a command from a powered RFID reader and supplying power extracted from an excitation field of the RFID reader to the biometric authentication engine whilst the RED reader waits for a response to the command. Responsive to determining that a period that the RFID device has been waiting for a response exceeds a predetermined threshold, and that a process being performed by the biometric authentication engine has not been completed, a request for a wait time extension is sent to the RFID reader to cause it to continue supplying the excitation field.

  • Publication number: 20170275610
Abstract: A method for separation of an oligonucleotide from a mixture using a biphasic mobile phase/stationary phase liquid-liquid chromatography system. A first mobile phase contains the oligonucleotide and the stationary phase contains an exchanger substance that removably binds to the target oligonucleotide. The mobile phase is caused to flow in contact with the stationary phase in a liquid-liquid chromatography apparatus such that the oligonucleotide becomes bound to the exchanger substance in the liquid stationary phase. The oligonucleotide is then displaced from the liquid stationary phase into a second liquid mobile phase by means of a displacer substance able to displace the oligonucleotide from the stationary phase into the second mobile phase.

  • Patent number: 9449536
Abstract: A removable message board can include an attachment piece including a message displayed on a front side and a back side opposite the front side. A coiled spring can include a first end that directly contacts the back side of the attachment piece and a second end opposite the first end that is wound along a length of the coiled spring to form a concentric circular shape configured to press against a chair back. A top surface of the coiled spring can be oriented towards a bottom surface of the coiled spring. The coiled spring can be disposed behind the attachment piece such that the coiled spring can be substantially covered by the attachment piece when viewed from a position perpendicular to a length and width of the attachment piece.

  • Patent number: 5434799
Abstract: A method and apparatus for recognizing whether data on a network is intended for a terminal of the network. An identifier having a high-order portion and a low-order portion is received by a terminal. The terminal looks up, in a direct read table, whether the direct read table contains an entry corresponding to the high portion. The direct read table can contain, for each high portion, a size of a search table corresponding to low portions of the received identifier, a flag or bit, indicating that there a search table for a particular high portion, and an address of the search table. If the direct read table determines that there is a search table for the received high portion, a dichotomizing search process is executed to find an entry in the search table corresponding to the low portion. The dichotomizing search process divides the search table in half to determine if the received low portion of the identifier is in the lower or upper part of the search table.

  • Patent number: 3959450
Abstract: Pure liquid bromine is produced directly from an acidic aqueous bromide mother liquor by reacting it with about 80 to about 90% of the amount of chlorine stoichiometrically equivalent to the bromide present in the whole supplied mother liquor and collecting the liquid bromine which separates out of solution; the remaining mother liquor free from liquid bromine is steam distilled in the presence of sufficient chlorine to convert the rest of the bromide to bromine and to condense crude liquid bromine which is purified by washing with sufficient fresh mother liquor. Production capacity is increased by about 20% compared to conventional process in which all the bromine is submitted to steam distillation.
