  • Publication number: 20020066840
Abstract: A stand for baby seat particularly useful on the back of a lawn mower tractor. The stand comprises a sliding plate at its lower end and a square tube on its upper end. The sliding plate slips into a sleeve fixed on the rear end of the tractor, for that purpose. The square tube receives one end of a positioning tube, adjustable in the square tube. The other end of the positioning tube supports a horizontal plate on which is fixed the baby seat. The baby is then in a position near an adult driver, immediately to the right, to the left or to the back of the driver.

Two bindings are included and accommodate to different types of boots, from a typical winter boot to a ski boot. Humps on the rear of the underside are used to brake and humps near the sides to steer.

  • Patent number: 5620219
Abstract: The protective fence of the invention comprises a first and a second arms that are pivoted at the opposite ends of a frame member that is placed in lieu of the bumper of a school bus. When children are entering or exiting the school bus, the bus driver can activate the arms that alternately pivot into an outwardly-projecting extended position. The arms are linked at their outer ends by a foldable band that is stretched between the two arms. The area directly in front of the school bus hood is circumscribed by the arms and the foldable band, and is thus not readily accessible by any of the children. Consequently, it is much less likely that a child will stand in this area in front of the school bus hood when the bus driver drives off, and disastrous accidents can be avoided.
