  • Patent number: 6907323
Abstract: The invention concerns a vehicle comprising a system enabling a user to control remotely an actuating mechanism (1) connected to an opening panel, in particular a boot opening panel (8). The control system comprises means, equipping the vehicle, for controlling at least an action of the actuating mechanism, according to the movement of an object, such as a hand, vertically in a delimited control zone adjacent to the opening panel. Said movement is determined from signals obtained from at least a movement sensor (7) placed on or proximate to the opening panel and whereof the radiation pattern if fixed to delimit the control zone.

  • Patent number: 6657536
Abstract: A process for the bidirectional transmission of data, in a hands-free vehicle access system, comprising the step of setting up a remote exchange of data between a recognition device installed in the vehicle and an identifier intended to be carried by a user, access being authorized only when the recognition device has authenticated the identifier, and the steps of setting up an exchange of data at the same radio frequency (RF) exchange between the recognition device and the identifier, and in delaying, in the course of this exchange, the transmission of a response signal by the identifier to the recognition device by a predetermined duration with respect to the reception by the identifier of an interrogation signal transmitted by the recognition device, so that neither the recognition device nor the identifier operate simultaneously in transmission and in reception at the RF exchange.

  • Patent number: 6636728
Abstract: A portable receiver comprised of several antennas that are connected to a receiver unit for receiving a signal transmitted by an electromagnetic induction process. The antennas are made in the form of coils, that are carried by a support in such a way that the respective turns of the coils are oriented along different respective axes of an axis system associated with the support. The invention further includes a phase shifting means oriented between the antennas and the receiver unit. The phase shifting means is designed to produce a temporal phase shift corresponding to an angle of (n−1)&pgr;/n, at the frequency of the signal received between induced signals delivered by the antennas (n being the number of antennas).

  • Patent number: 6483425
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a system providing enhanced security of a bi-directional data transmission controlling access to an enclosed space, including an identification device with a transmitting circuit and a receiving circuit installed in said enclosed space, and an identifier carried by a user wishing to gain access, a data interchange between said identification device and said identifier normally being established when the distance between them is less than a predetermined limit, the access being granted only when said identification device has authenticated said identifier, wherein, to prevent an interchange of identification data at a distance greater than said predetermined limit, notably by interposing an unauthorized repeater, the system includes means of switching that establish a momentary loopback of said transmitting circuit of said identification device, via a return circuit of said identifier , and said identification device includes means of measuring the resonance frequency of the oscillati

  • Patent number: 6407677
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for low-frequency communication by magnetic coupling of the type comprising a magnetic field emitter and a receiver placed in an identification member, one of either the emitter or the receiver being furnished with a loop antenna, in which the other of either the emitter or the receiver is constituted by the association of three coils (1, 2, 3) wound around three perpendicular axes (Ox, Oy, Oz) defining a trihedral so as to obtain an omnidirectional magnetic field by supplying said coils with currents of like frequency.
