    Abstract: The invention relates to a device that permits removal of excess developer particles on the surface of a recording element and comprises a suction conduit (22) having at one end a port (23) in the form of a slot and at its other end a cylindrical chamber (25) which communicates with said conduit. The generators of the chamber run parallel to the port (23). The chamber includes a suction port (32) which is connected to a suction source, and an air inlet port (31) which discharges into the free atmosphere (31).

    Abstract: A part which is attached to a support frame is pressed against a rotatable member mounted within that support frame. An element having four degrees of freedom is mounted between the support and a point on the part. A biasing element is mounted between the support and a second point on the part to urge the part against the movable member. The structure is useful in the recording of data on a magnetic recording machine and impactless magnetic printing machines.

    Abstract: A device for removing excess powdered pigment deposited on and adhering to a surface has a chamber provided with air under pressure. The chamber has an orifice with parallel edges extending parallel to the surface with one edge set back from the other edge. The orifice has an opening of from 0.2 mm to 0.02 mm and is spaced from said surface by not more than 1 cm.
