  • Publication number: 20210285359
Abstract: A cap (20) for a header box of a heat exchanger (1), in particular for a motor vehicle, in particular a radiator, is disclosed. This cap includes a head (21), a shank (22) comprising at least one mounting thread (23), this shank being between the head and a free end of the cap, a retaining lug (30), in particular elastically deformable, arranged to retain the cap in an opening (10) of the header box in an intermediate position of the cap, in which position the cap leaves a clear passage while being retained in the opening, this retaining lug being formed on the shank.

  • Patent number: 10989485
Abstract: The invention relates to a heat exchanger tube produced by bending a metal strip (11), characterized in that said strip (11) has a thickness that can vary between at least one first thickness (e1) and at least one second thickness (e2) greater than said first thickness (e1), and in that said tube has thinned first zones (Z1) and reinforced second zones (Z2) located at the points of greatest mechanical stress, said first zones (Z1) being formed by first portions (P1) of said strip of first thickness (e1) and said reinforced second zones (Z2) being formed by second portions (P2) of said strip (11) of second thickness (e2). The invention also relates to a heat exchanger comprising a core bundle of such tubes, and to a method of obtaining such a tube.

  • Publication number: 20190063841
Abstract: The invention relates to a heat exchanger (1), in particular for a motor vehicle, comprising a header tank (9a) and a bundle of tubes, said header tank (9a) comprising a collector plate (21), a cover (23) and a seal located between the collector plate (21) and the cover (23), said header tank (9a) being divided into two compartments (15a and 15b) by a transverse partition (17), said compartments (15a and 15b) being configured to communicate respectively with two parts of the bundle, said seal isolating said compartments (15a and 15b) from one another and partially closing off the opening of at least one tube, said partially closed-off tube (51), opening into said header tank (9a) near said transverse partition (17).

  • Publication number: 20050016716
Abstract: An improved heat exchanger for an automotive vehicle is disclosed. The heat exchanger typically includes at least one end tank; and a plurality of spaced apart tubes with fins between the spaced tubes. The heat exchanger may be combined with single or multi-fluid heat exchanger. In preferred embodiments, the heat exchanger is arranged to have tubes or tube arrangements that improve heat transfer efficiency.
